  1. The law is you are required to have a driving license to drive any vehicle. So why complain if fine is high . The problem is drivers with no license have no respect for other road users because they have no license they also have no insurance so if they cause an accident and kill or injure another person the other person normally has to pay for medical care . For to long people in Thailand people have no respect for the law they think it should only apply to other people . I hope this is the start of trying to stop so many deaths on Thai roads, but at the same time fines for not using a crash helmet should rise to 5000 baht . These laws are not to get money off people but to try and keep Thai roads safe how much should the fine be if a person without a license kills one of your family .

  2. It is obvious it’s  the fault  of the motorcycle coming out from the side road . Feel sorry for the 10 yr old boy RIP . BUT why are the the Mother and Father allowing him to drive a motorcycle with no licence no insurance  and no crash helmet . The person riding the motorbike coming out from side is with out doubt to blame but I also blame the Mother and Father. Also when are the police going to stop under age people driving vehicles especially people with no crash helmet on . Only today I saw two policemen riding motorcycles with no helmet on how does the government expect people to obey the law when the police don’t .

  3. I had 3 accounts with Bangkok bank between them well over 10 million baht for about 4 years transferred money from UK and Malaysia regularly. Want to open dollar and and sterling account so I could change money when exchange rate was good . They want me to go to embassy great all kinds of forms . After looking around krungsri bank opened both of them for me no messing around I have transferred all my accounts there now they are always very helpful all my direct debts go out no problem maybe I am lucky but young lady always looks after me and I have never found a person in any bank so helpful .

  4. I blame the police and government for accidents like this 5 people on a motorcycle and no crash helmets . Why do they allow this to happen , Thailand will keep having one of the worst records for road accidents, until the police enforce the law and make people wear crash helmets . It seems to me that people don't care about trying to save lives

  5. To stop accidents

1- increase fine for not wearing a motorcycle helmet to 2000 baht.

2- lights not working 300 baht

3- no driving licence motorcycle bike / car put in compound till they come back with license have 3 months to get license after that vehicle is sold at auction .

4- not wearing a seat belt 1000baht fine

The above would help bring accidents down  it just a start

As long as you have blue book and hour current insurance and 5 year Thai driving licence you will not have a problem . Have a good trip

  9. I think most of you are on a high horse. No one knows what was being said at the time this happened. The police were trying to control a group of angry people. Maybe the police were having a hard time keeping things calm, perhaps the driver was still mouthing off to people enflaming the situation.Maybe people right there were threatening to take things in their own hands. I saw the video after the cop kicked the driver, another cop stood beside the driver in a protective stance, you could see it wasnot to protect the driver from the police but possible others. A lot of holy than thou crap. For the ones that were cops in other countries as the saying goes ' this aint Kansas Alice". Different game here for sure. Ever heard of consensus. If the populace feels it is right then it is right. Simple as that.

I must live on another planet who can say a person in custody that is hand cuffed can be kick in the face by a policeman . People often make mistakes and the police are there to stop them put them in court let a judge decide the punishment . What ever a person has done the police must uphold the law otherwise why have them or let's all just kick people to death if they do something wrong .

  10. This makes me laugh if a police officer can kick people in the face when they are hang cuffed in the middle of the road ,God only knows what they can do behind closed doors. When will Thais learn it is very bad for a person to be drunk and driving . But it a judges job to punish him the police are there to stop him they are not the judge and excacutioner. As I said before what happens behind closed doors??????
