The companys in Udon make weak, and gutless tuktuks, they use a 150cc chinese honda copy engine. If you make a hard turn, you are prone to flip over, or twist the frame up.

The real tuktuks are made stronger, with a 3x2 inch steel frame, and a 550 to 650 cc daihatsu engine.

Mine is pimped out and will do 100 to 130 kmh, has big rear sports car tires, aluminum mags, custom exhaust, and can burn rubber at a green light stop, and make a serious hard turn at a corner.

All I need in my province is insurance, there is no need for ekkasarn (registration) or plates.

My tuktuk is fast as a car, but many cars will try to overtake you, and cut you off TIT.

They do that because they think mine is a slow 150cc piece of junk.

Forming a company to own a house is NOT a good idea.

You will have to pay some kind of corporate tax every year, or at least do accounts. This will bring you under the eyes of the authorities. Also, the government has talked about cracking down on companies whos sole purpose in being formed is to own a house. If you have a legitimate business, it is still not a good idea to register the house in the company. If the company goes bust, the house will be considered part of the company and can be sold to repay company debts.The best way for a foreigner to "own" a house here is to register it in a Thai name and take out a thirty year lease in your own name. Make sure the lease is registered at the land office and notated on back of the land paper. That way, the land paper cannot be used as collateral against a loan.

Ok, if I have a business name registered in Chonburi province, and I want to buy a house and land in Udon Thani province........do I have to register a business in Udon Thani?

My attorney in chonburi says I can have him go to Udon and transfer the biz name to the Udon registry. (for 12,500 bt) Does this sound right?

Can anyone advise me on finding a good english speaking lawyer or real estate professional in Udon Thani? Need someone who can guide me through the process and ensure everything is legal and binding,no encumberances,etc.

I got a good laugh on this thread, and looked at my lady friends handbag, maybe there is a market for such a product in thailand?

I have gotten a thai tatoo, from a former monk, it took a lot of trouble to do. I had to bring a big list of things to bring, som, insense, lao, cigars, and other items.

I had to say prayers, and have blessings done, then the tatoo was made with a 2 foot stick, then more prayers.

My tatoo is the same as on the back of many buddha pendants representing signs for good luck.
