Why do I get the impression that they are deliberately feeding complications into the system in the hope they might catch us out & charge an overstay or two to justify their existence ?

Looking at the very low reaction to this post ,I must assume there are many ex-civil Servants out here that have lived on the tax payer all there so called "working" lives and are still doing so on fat Government Pensions ?

I am still waiting for a new passport which I applied for in May ,? they are using Covid & every other excuse under the sun it seems ,but it is obvious the UK civil service Unions are making everything difficult .!

I have been diagnosed with chronic COPD which automatically makes me vulnerable to Covad19 , since most if not all vaccines are based on a small amount of the disease being part of the content ,I consider I am perfectly entitled to refuse a vaccine ?

Take your friend with you ,& go together, Thai gold traders give the prices every morning for bullion & ornament & I have found here in Samutsongkhram those prices are paid ,the current gold prices are low compared to earlier in the year,( 18.700 -19.000) earlier they were always over 20.000, it would really be a time to buy rather than sell ,but needs be as needs must .! enter " Thai gold price " on the net. to get updates . also published in the Bangkok Post business section .

Early in this thread some were talking about houses & property ? I was led to believe when I first arrived that it is not legal to buy property unless you were a Thai national, or you were prepared to buy on behalf of a Thai National , which ,of course means you do not actually own the property, or at least, the land it stands on, the land is the key, there are many hidden bits that are designed to catch the unaware out & I am pretty sure this is one of them.

I got my Non O visa in Hull on the same day having posted the forms back before I needed to travel to the embassy ,It took about half an hour . I lived in Orkney at the time so having a travel date was crucial to me.

Bankok is allready taking water from the aquafers regardless of a drought or floods and has done for years, as a result, the city is sinking a few cetimeters each year, that combined with the rise in sea levels ,as predicted ,(along with many other coastal cities world wide) will evetually become uninhabitable

It's the same old story ,in the UK it's known as keeping up with the "Jones" I.E.-,He's got a new car so we had better get a better one ! Crass stupidity.

Just because you have a visa ,does not automatically mean you will be allowed into Thailand, A couple that I travelled with from Penang were refused entry even with a visa, They were asked to show they had 20.000 Bht. each ,and as they could not, were refused entry. Furthermore ,everything they owned was in Thailand, inc house and furniture.

I would ban it world wide, the biggest waste of time and money ever, put all of it back to amateur status and make the overpaid ,cheating lot of them work for a living ! If they want to kick a bag of wind round a field let them do it in their own free time,at their own expense.Give the money to the poor who are striking and trying to raise awareness of the real problems in the world.

I receive 2 separate payments every 4 weeks ,this seems to totally bewilder the IMO in Samutsongkhram , the total is well over the required amount but as one of the payments might not come in the same month or arrive twice in the same month they are totally confused ,& if you start talking about 13 payments in the year ( 52 weeks devided by4 = 13) as opposed to 12 ,the number of months , they say I need a letter from the bank ? ,
