hitting children only teaches them violence is the way to get what you want. there are many other ways to punish a child depending on the severity 1) make them do extra schoolwork - light disobedience 2) have them leave the classroom - medium punishment 3) suspend them and have the parent take care of their child for the duration of the suspension: major punishment 4) expel them - severe punishment, let them find another school -
