Korea is proud to have ethnic homogeinity. It is the most overvalued country in the world. They have used softpower like moovies, series, kpop to be fashionable. I wonder why because when you visit Korea you don't feel welcome. I'm not thaï, I'm french I go to Korea frequently for my job and I can say that they don't like foreigners. They are not friendly, they smill the less they can, they are reluctant to talk, to interact or to help you. I don't see any other country like that and I travel a lot.

It is primarily geared toward males and male adult entertainment.
Why is Nana not the best place for single women and female tourists? Maybe because they would be ignored by the male assistance!! Do you have any exemple of a female tourist having troubles in Nana? Of course not! The area is safe, I don't particularly like thais authorities but the chinese lady is lying.
And Bangkok and Nana or Patpobg is ten thousand time safer than any place in France, the country where I'm living. I'm not joking. Paris is dangerous for both women and men and in any area. Even small towns and villages are dangerous today.

As for USA the data do not show the number of suicide made with guns. Wich is hudge. It's made for scared people. Just like in France and in Europe where we are supposed to be in a war with Islamic State. We are, all citizens, in danger, we are all possible target for terrorists. But the first decision European Commision is trying to take is to ban guns ownership from Europe. They don't want legal ownership of gun. They don't want honnest cityzens to have gun. They say that it is to fight terrorism! Bullshit. They are affraid of us , the people , not of the terrorists. It's the same all over the world. This campaign is made to help governments to disarm honest people.

Thanks very much GuyL, I won't make that mistake again.
You're welcome. Forgot to say, there's a US$1 (one US dollar) extra charge for overtime if you are going to cross the border before 8am (8:00) or after 4pm (16:00) or on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
And 1$ extra if you don't have a picture with you!

Going to Vientiane from Udon is a waist of time. The flights operated by low cost airlines are schedule in the middle of the day. If I can't afford a direct flight BKK/VTE I use night train...

At least thaï people are aware of the situation. I'm french and I'm not sure a majority of french know that WE ARE already and for years and years ruled in France by f..ing thieves.
The big difference is that state employee usually don't need bribery to live. I mean the cop in the street will not try to racket you (in fact on the road of France the State doe's it allready...).
A few weeks ago the president of french representatives (Assembléé Nationale), Claude Bartolone (socialist)- 4th rank personnality of the State-, was questionned about a house he own near Paris. Estimated around 2.000.000€, Bartolonne register it for 600000€ and said it cost him 400000€ for 380m² to build. It is IM-PO-SSI-BLE in France to build such a house at that cost. Impossible. 1000€/m² no way. But absolutely no one, not a journalist, nore a politician raise that matter!
At least Thaïland do not try to teach the world what to do...

The real problem is why farang countries accept thai products to come in with low or no tax at all and let Thailand put huge taxes on their own products (luxury or not)?

How do you translate "cliché" in english? The name is 100% jewish but he and his family are certainly from north Africa and the old french Empire....

They will set new standards in terms of customer service and raise the bar tremendously.
....
LOL. You can't be serious?
The IKEA concept is you walk forever through a maze of rubbish, pick your flatpack crap, pay for it and tote it to your car and take it home and... see TommyDee's post.
The only interaction with anyone related to 'customer service' is when you pay for the sh!te.
You buy an IKEA chest of drawers and the base to each drawer is melamine faced cardboard so when you put things in the drawer it bows and falls out.
Here with SB or Index a cheaper but much stronger unit we bought had stronger drawer base but was bowing they send a guy around with a metal parts kit to strengthen the drawer.
When you buy they fix up shelves, everything. Wardrobe doors have a metal strengthening bar in the middle to prevent warping and 3-4 strong hafel hinges.
For a price when you move they dismantle and reassemble. Infinitely superior to Ikea.
Ikea kitchens are crap. No fitter wants to fit them because when you cut them to fit (they're chipboard) they soak up moisture and will fall apart.
Maybe you have leaved Farangland for years? Ikea really improved the quality of their products.

From downtown to the famous bridge the noise is horrible, during the day because of the speedboats-I would say about one every 3 minutes- and then by night because of the discos.

I was in Nana the 31th/1st night and I have seen what start like a fight involving 2 farangs -Ok certainly not in their rights- and first 2,and 3 and 6 thaïs and more... and it went on in something not really a fight but more a racist lynch. It was next to the Mandarin on the first floor at around 3am.

In France this kind of attack from foreigners ("young people" as media call them) are so common, every days actually, and every where that all the country should be in state of war.
