Bump.
Any updates Jaybas??

Normally it has to be done in person but you might try DTAC's VDO registration service and see if that works. Not sure if it works out of country though but worth a try. http://www.dtac.co.t...gistration.html
I did the DTAC video registration online on it worked well.
Do you know if that can be done outside of Thailand?
@Jaybas Have you had a reply to your email yet?
Thx.

I find maps.me much more accurate also.

Pay the extra and get the model with the heart rate monitor. I regret not getting it now.

Not impressed at all by the photos! It looks extremely spartan and uncomfortable (virtually unfurnished), almost as I would imagine a prison cell to be like. Plus, the area is very bad and far from tourist areas. Enjoy your 14k a month stay in prison!
Yeah you said that already http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/815330-hotel-namehelp/?p=9296273
When is your new material coming out?

Amazing skills! Thanks for posting.

Try airbnb dot com for short term apartments/rooms.

Regarding apps...I found google maps to be very inaccurate..at least 50% of places I wanted to go were wrong.
Maps.me worked well and their maps work offline.

Press f8 on startup for more startup options. Try safemode and last known good configuration.

Finally received the Chromecast through Lazada. It was shipped from Singapore, shipping included for 1600 baht. Plugged it in t the TV and it upgraded itself first and then went though the setup step by step. Very easy, elegant really. I downloaded the extension that the Chrome browser uses to Chromecast and pulled up Youtube and...it worked, perfectly. Then I downloaded and installed Plex Media server. I showed Plex where my downloads were, fired up a Daily Show episode and that worked perfectly. So, I originally asked how do you stream video over wifi? Chromecast is inexpensive and works well. There are other features that I haven't got into yet. VLC should have their app working soon which will probably be easier than Plex but it's not an issue.
One thing is that the picture on the computer is ahead (synch wise) of the TV. That doesn't effect anything and you can be browsing the internet in another tab while the video is streaming to the TV. Sound is only on the TV.
Thanks for all the additional info and suggestions. I plan on getting another Chromecast when I'm in the US next month for another TV. It's less expensive there, like $35.
I thought you would be happy with it. The best Aud$50 I ever spent was my first chrome cast..then I bought more for around the house...lol
Netflix works awesome with it ....just needs a bit of setting up if you are outside the usa . -
You will be happy with the chrome cast. Perfect solution for what you want to do.
Install plex on your computer and set up the folders you want to stream. Then you can sit in front of your TV and control everything with your phone using the plex app. -
Check out the Samsung 'tablet s' range that have just been released. Best screen (4k resolution) on any tablet to date.
They come in 8.4 or 10.5 inch. Google for video reviews.

i make a stool most days but suspect that is not what you are asking. seems your thread has died an ignoble death. shame.Any news on who made the stool today?
Any updates on the GOM?
Will be in BKK soon and want to get a pic with him. Have you been there lately?
Given the age of the the thread I am not sure whether it is worth the trip.

Why lock yourself into one place by booking it for a month?
Find a new place you like and book it for 4 or 5 days. If you don't like that try another one that looked good for a few days.
If that fails go back too ol'faithful :-)

The little mig welders you can buy these days are good. Some of them you can even run without gas.
The downside is more expensive and more maintenance .
An Arc welder would be a cheaper option and great to start out on also.

Cannot be bothered with multiple devices, I just use the Kindle app on Android. Setting the background color to sepia background with Android auto screen brightness works for my eyes day or night. Can get all the mobi books I want searching the net.
The problem is you can't read a tablet screen in direct sunlight. The kindle reads just like ink on paper. I like to sit out in the sun and have a good read :-)

Another vote for the kindle paper white here.
I used to love my kindle 1 but the paper white is awesome as no night light is needed . Best reading device out there.

The Sammy's are known for a bit of lag. The Google nexus was the best last time I looked.
Search YouTube for some good reviews of both.

Bizarre problem, I have never seen that one before.
Did you try disabling "Autofill" in advanced settings?
Looking for quality electro-bike, compact and "seaworthy"
