I have used Thai Euro Law Office for a number of years for services of their registered NP. Latest was around October 2023. They have always charged me Bt500.

They are located opposite to the side entrance to Big C next to South Pattaya Road, close to Sukhumvit Road. Near to Key Visa office / B-Quik service centre.

That worked...quick and fast service, 500bt thanks @PPGuy

  2. Any recommendations for a notary public, preferably central Pattaya, but I can go anywhere. I used to use a guy in Naklua,

but he has passed away. The cheaper the better....I know one  lawyer that wants 1000b, don't know if that's fair, but I used to pay 600b

Depends on who your phone carrier is. I use AIS. I Last time I bought a new phone it was an iPhone. I went to their office in Central Festival Center. They have  a device they plug into your old phone, and then plug into your new phone and transfers all info, (pics, contacts, etc.). But I don't think they copy the apps. You need to download those to your new phone and sign in with your existing password. They are able to go from Android to iOS, and iOS to iOS. Probably Android to Android too. For me it was a bit different as at that time I had a Windows Nokia phone. The device at Central Festival did not work with that OS. I had to drive to their office in Sri Racha because their device had that feature. I don't think that'll be an issue for you now. Just take it to your phone company (AIS, TRUE, DTAC), and ask them if they are able to transfer things for you.

If none of this works for you, try RUN Phone Service, behind TukCom. It's a shop on the right side as you go past the TukCom building. Big sign that says RUN PHONE SERVICE. Very nice, knowledgeable, fair pricing, and she speaks great English.

Thank-you for that, I will check them out.

  6. Bought a new phone, need to clone my apps and data over to the new one. I've spent 5 hrs trying to do it myself, using wifi, bluetooth, cables, clone it, phone clone, dr fone, watched lots of videos..not working. Any recommendations on where to go in Pattaya (central) to get it done.....no need for (any shop at tukcom will do it)......thanks.

  7. I was able to renew my True Max Speed 1 yr sim. They actually sent me a sms 3 weeks before it was to expire, to extend 1 yr, everything the same, but 200 baht more. I was skeptical so went to the True office, and they did it for me and I paid them cash....same number.

just get a big  bucket  ..... put the document into the bucket then  fill/cover with water   .. keep topping up the water as it is absorbed by the paper   and mix with a stick every couple of hours  or every time you remember..   after a couple of days drain off the water  and let to  paper mache  dry off a bit put in  rubbish bag and dumping your trash bin .. jobs a gud un

    Excellent idea...thanks

  9. I need to shred or burn a bunch of old documents, accumulated over the years. (trade records, tax records, bank stuff etc.) that have sensitive info on them. I want to witness it being done, and not just dropping off somewhere and trusting  someone to do it. Its about 4000 sheets of paper would be my guess. I live in a apartment, so it's not a matter of building a fire pit in my yard to do it. Any law abiding ideas or advice?

I have no affiliation with this business, but really have good experience with this guy. His legs don't work (maybe cp or paralysed or something else), thus works by sitting on floor in his messy shop, but he speaks OK english and can fix many things. For me has fixed water heater (temp control resistor broken), TV (went blank but fuse not burnt), aircon control board (jingchok burnt in) for a small fee, and for another water heater told can not fix (no charge). Can warmly recommend him for any electrical/electronics jobs in central Pattaya area.

I second that, I've had a lamp and a fan fixed here...100b each. He speaks good English imo. He told me he's been at that location for 20 yrs.

  12. I'm going to replace my 1TB HDD with a 1TB SSD, in my 6yr old Lenovo at a local shop in Pattaya, that I have been using for years. The cost will be 5000baht total, which is acceptable to me.
I'm going to back everything up on an ext. hard drive before switching as a precaution.
I'm wondering how the process works, is it like doing a fresh install? Will I lose all my programs etc?
I am not that technically minded...so keep it simple.
    please and thanks.
