  1. I don't believe this. Government intervention in a free market? I don't blame travellers who want to travel by air as opposed to the dangerous accident prone busses on Thai roads.

Totally agree with you... they should open more Domestic Small Airports to reduce Road Deaths, especially at peak Holiday time.. when all the Bangkok workers are driving like Madmen/Women to get back to their place of employment after visiting there Family's...(No Brainer) wink.png

    HAPPY AND SAFE 2015.

  3. You need to get moving if you want to a conversion to a non immigrant visa entry at immigration. You must have 15 days remaining on your entry to get it done.

You will need to show the same financial proof that you needed for your extension.

Hi Ubonjoe, I'm going to Cambodia hoping to get another year on my "A-O Non immigrant" which expires on the 31stOct...

what do I need to show the Border Officers?

    Thanks,

Nothing more than your passport and your arrival card with the visa number written in the space for it.

Check you stamp to be sure they stamped you in for a year.

    Thank you.

    Have a Good Day.

  5. You will have to pay for a Lao visa on arrival. It will be 1500 baht or $35 dependent on which country you are from.

You will have to spend at least one night to get your visa. You apply the morning of one day and pick it up the next afternoon.

There are no other charges at the embassy other than the 2000 baht for the visa.

Hi ubonjoe, does the "overnight stay" also apply to Cambodia at the Chong Jom (near Sirun) Border I hope to get another year on my A-O Visa, any other guidance you give...... will be very helpful, and I will be very grateful.
