"a crackdown on dark skinned criminals damaging the economy and image of Thailand"

good news! plenty more to go 555

Why is it going to damag Thailand?

The black Africans are the biggest  scammers out they have milked plenty of money from lonely women they deserve to be caught and kicked out of the country so tell me how is it  damaging the reputation of Thailand.

That's great for your friend but did Insurance pay the full cost or a percentage? For my mum they ended up paying paid 20% of the full treatment cost at a private hospital.

Who did you insure with why don't you tell us that because that does not make sense I've been injured before and went to Bangkok hospital without any problems and fully paid out by my insurance which was CoverMore insurance

You can interpret it the way you want.  I do not see the person "popping" out.  The  bumping into the cyclist is the same as the cyclist bumping into the person.  The angle of the camera does not let me see the distance, but it does not look like the person moved very much.. and IMO, as a cyclist I just would not ride that close to a person and if I did, certainly not at speed with traffic around.  It also comes down to experience.
My riding experience I have never plowed into a person.

Your last question is just stupid.

My last question is stupid? but your hole  answer is even more pathetic and who you trying to kid that you're a cyclist because if you're a cyclist you would see what was going and make a better judgement I think the last time you where on a bike is when youre 5 year-old.

You can just tell by the way you've perceived the whole thing. And why did she look back and then she run away like the guilty coward she was, explain that, then again her action Explains It all no need cheers.

If we could watch a video of the cyclist starting 200 meters before the accident it would be easier to prove that the cyclist was speeding and did not slow down enough , the visibility should not be a problem  .

Honestly what are you talking about cyclists speeding are you kidding me this whole topic is just getting to wacky for me the administrator needs to get rid of it some pretty stupid questions been asked and said.

I don't see how it was the pedestrian fault totally.  even if she did wonder out another 6".. the cyclist riding in that area has to be alert and able to yield left or right.  It looked like the cyclist had room between the bus and the pedestrian.  I would not have ridden so close to a pedestrian...or at least a verbal alert as I was doing so.
Total freak accident and I would not put absolute blame on either person.
I feel for the friend... coming back and seeing your riding partner wreathing on the ground dying would be tough.

Never been in that area, but big buses IMO are a PITA and should not be allowed in many areas.  Those areas were never designed for them.
Anyway, sad situation for the cycling community.

Oh really you didn't see pedestrian just walking out without looking?

I'm just wondering if you watching the same video we are...lol

I'd say the cyclist was alert the whole time but when you got somebody that just pops out in front of you it's a bit hard to avoid.... the funny thing is we can all see the video but we are all coming up with different thoughts I mean you can see clearly that the pedestrian bumped into the cyclist.

When your on a bicycle and somebody pops out in front of you like that it's a bit hard to react really quick that's why she came off the bike do you think she really wanted to go under a bus.

There is one like this but looked a bit bigger,

I saw it on an aerox parked but don't know where to buy it yet

    Probably somewhere on Facebook...

    images (14).jpg

I sore that but the edges are to sharp to hang to many plastic bags they'll rip. You can get one that's solid aluminium and smooth with out  any sharp edges, unlike that one.

I'd send you a photo when I go back.

really????? 5555. you my friend are exactly why I log onto this forum. what on earth are you saying to make them hate you?

They hate you because they are jealous of what we've got compared to what they have and that's a fact I was riding my bike once in jomtien pulled up at a set of lights and there was this thai guy wearing a t-shirt and on the back it said tourists go home. Yes sure there is a lot of people that like us but a lot hate us to and that's fair enough there's a lot up of idiot that are attracted to Thailand.

Never seen any orange light on mine as of yet but I would ride it and see what happens...it's under warranty anyway and they're cheap as chips

If it breaks down, just call them again

Many people complain about the abs model on Thai forums, the stop start thing doesn't work sometimes I've  read and the keyless thing is more hassle than an actual key but I haven't ruled out the possibility that most of them are idiots and haven't read the instructions properly lol

Yes mate a lot of people don't know how to use the remote control it's as simple as turning it on and leaving it on in your pocket that's all you need to do, and never touch the remote ever again after that. And all you do after that is approach the bike switch the knobs to start and go. When you get off the bike all you do is switch the knob on  the bike to off lock and walk away and the bike will turn itself off it's that simple you don't need to use the remote. I don't understand why people are having problems with that.

I don't know why you want the Indonesia color in Thailand but the only way will be to buy a Thai one and change it yourself

Not overly expensive but not something I'd bother with on a 62k scooter. If you change the color you also have to change the greenbook at the land department etc

I would just pick the colour you hate the least and just ride it, life's too short to try and get the Indonesia colour outside Indonesia

Your right mate the colour choice should be a lot wider than what they have provided for Thailand I don't understand why manufacturers do that when they know colour is a very personal thing and it could stop you from purchasing a bike.

Where can you order or go get a hook?

Are they aerox specific or any aftermarket hook will work?

Any aftermarket hook they also need an extension to the hook it's about 25mm in length because where the hook goes on the aerox it's quite deep the hole.

I do only ride in UK. I am merely suggesting that the lady cyclist could have taken her eyes off the road ahead, for a couple of seconds, as I often do.

You seem to be allowing the pedestrian's ignorant behaviour because 'this is Thailand'. I'm sorry but I don't see it that way, that a cyclist on the road should be the one who stops to allow a daydreaming pedestrian to walk past.

As I have said before, if the lady was riding a motorbike or sam-lor instead, the pedestrian would NOT have walked into her path. Or if she had, she would be the one coming off worst.

You have every right to see it differently, but this is how I see it

Your on the money foxboy I wouldn't worry about what anyone says that pedestrian was a bloody idiot she caused the death of that cyclist and run away like a little gutless dog she was.

A few minor niggles I noticed

The mirror stalks are a bit short for perfect visibility and there is no hook to hang a bag of groceries at the front, but the bike is a real bargain for the price

The performance of that engine alone makes it worth the money imo

The acceleration is surprisingly quick for a 155cc scoot and it's still agile like a cat weaving through bkk traffic..

If you own a 125cc or something Test drive one of those, you will be impressed

Mate you can buy a hook I did it's perfect.

After a week rental i am impressed with this bike

Rented  the R  version with the factory nitrogen rear shocks  and did find the suspension very hard compared to other bikes

I am torn between what to buy

I wanted the abs model but the rental guy said the abs model is more troublesome than the others and substantially more expensive

The remote key doesn't always work how it should etc and they only give you 1 (no spare) and if you lose that it costs a crazy price for a new one, (also the stop start fuel saving thing doesn't always start when the lights go green, you can find loads of complaints about it on the Thai language forums)

Standard is well priced and you can upgrade the shocks yourself to whatever you prefer but the colours are a bit less premium looking than the other models

Any current users have any recommendations?

    (I'll probably buy/order one tomorrow )

The cost for a new remote 1,100 baht.

The remote workes well for me each time without any problems.

What you've got to remember is not to turn it off and on all the time.

Remember once you walk away from the bike the bike will lock automatically and once you approach the bike it will unlock automatically you do not have to keep on using the remote to turn it off and on all you need to do is to have the remote in your pocket and that's it it's that simple.

What you've been doing is turning the remote on and off each time when you got off the bike where you don't need to just keep it in your pocket  and on at all times. The bike will Sense the remote once you're near it and once you walk away from it. It will automatically lock and unlock the bike... does that make any sense to you.

    tell that to the kid.

I'm sure we all feel bad for the kid without a doubt must have been very traumatizing for that kid.

Dogs are like kids make the effort to train them just right when they are puppies then when they grow up they become obedient so I'd say owners fault 100% dogs are only animals what you put into them is what you will get out of them pure and simple.

I do wish that kid gets better soon.
