Northern Bike shop is specialized in TREK and KLEIN . The otherones you can order in both shops

i've been by the Fat-Free bike shop, but does anyone know if their prices are reasonable with regards to what youd pay elsewhere? i know that some specialty items are marked way-up when sold in provinces distant from bkk, or the west.

anyone done the real research on this?

Compare the prices with Northern Bike shop 2km over the bridge outside the town towards the airport on the left.

I run a bicycle tour company in C.R and have some contracts with resorts. Every time i book some rooms they double the price what is one the contract ,when i ask questions they tell me that the rate is for Thais not for tourists.Is there someone else who has the same experience ?

we will be glad to get review, recommendation or advice about a guided professional tour in English, 1 day tour in Golden triangle area, depart from Chiangrai during 11.2006, made by reliable travel agency. First night staying in Chiangrai hotel

At the second day we want to depart from Chiangrai to Chiangmai, interested to visit some of the hill tribes(long neck).

Another alternative- in the second morning, separate tour or transfer from Chiangrai to Chiangmai

Today the hamburger b/c did it again, on Doi thung. Seven members enjoyed the race(18 k.m.) Bob,Glenn,Jeff, Bruce ,Mike,Steve and Jozef all ended the event ,thank you guys for the nice effort you did today .

I read about a new resort in the golden triangle vicinity that involves fancy tented accommodation and even fancier prices but I can't locate the reference a second time. Can anybody help out with a name?

On sunday 11 June at 7 a.m. we start the trip. Location:T.A.T. office downtown,everybody welcome and do not forget to ware a yellow shirt, see you there.(only 10 k.m.)

Meeting point is the parking place in front of the Sala Klang Kao, the big colonial style building behind the Post Office at Singha Klai Road (where the Provincial Cultural Council of Chiang Rai has its headquarters), about hundred meters from Overbrook Hospital direction King Mengrai monument.

All the bicycle clubs of Chiang Rai participate.

The main purpose of the event will probably be the documentation of it.

That's why you need the yellow shirt and that's why the distance is only 10 kms.

For your information: Co van Kessel, the person who was the first to organize bicycle tours in Bangkok will do his 60 temple tours to-day. The sponsors, an anonymous English noble family with an astonishing sense of humor, will carry the costs and the contribution of the participants, 200 x 2000 will go unabridged to a Royal Project.

We still have a lot to learn in Chiang Rai!

HHH have been around for a couple of years here in Chiang Rai. It is good fun, you meet some nice people and your body has to move a little. And after you have a cold drink (beer, coke, water etc) with your friends.

The May hash is scheduled for Saturday May 20 beginning at 4 p.m.

It will follow shaded trails on and around Doi Khao Kwai, the

hill 4km south of town. Gourmet snacks will await participants. To give us

some idea of how much food to prepare, please call Win (Smoked Wiener) at

01-883-9475. Swimmers may wish to bring optional swimwear. Soap and

shampoo will be provided for post-hash decontamination.
