  1. The culture here is not known for its high level of intellectual curiosity. Sure I get asked sometimes what country but I think that's usually about which stereotype box to put people in rather than learning anything new.

True enough, but I notice that when I return to the US for a visit none of my friends/family ask about life in Thailand. I don't think many people have intellectual curiosity. It's disappointing.

Seems that some TV posters are also not known for their high level of intellectual curiosity. I find the same as you, when I visit the EU.

When I visit Germany next month, they will be asking me if I can buy the VW scandal software in BKK for them? as Germany and the EU have banned it.

  2. Absolute RUBBISH suggestion from the OP.

YES tragic event, let's hope the terrorists are caught.

As for chocking the already flagging tourist numbers...

Give me a break. Thaivisa is becoming more and more a rumor mongering forum. Don't post without evidence.

    Yes I agree TROLL

I certainly wish nothing will happen that impacts law-abiding foreigners but when the news since yesterday is the following

    http://news.thaivisa.com/thailand/thai-police-chief-asks-pm-prayut-to-clean-up-the-immigration-police-bureau/113881/

I have no problem believing Immigration will place a clampdown on pretty much anything.

Well good for you. I am sure everyone has read your Yesterdays news. I am still waiting an answer from the OP to my questions.

You must admit that TV has become a rumor sxxx stirring forum. Its hard to believe anything that is posted these days.

  3. Hi thanks for your comment. We all know that!! I was asking the op.Or are you another one with two screen names??

I do have one screen name and one approach of willing to help others. if your intelligence exceeds that more power to you and good luck jumping forums.

Point noted. But my the post is still waiting to be answered by the OP As I have a strong feeling he is a troll.

  4. Interesting, Where did you get this info? what forum? and what is the web site called?

I don't have access to rumours but ff you read the news that are prominent since yesterday I think you you would conclude that urgent immigration measures are not just possible but likely. Any government or bureaucracy of the world would do the same after a bloody event involving foreigners.

Hi thanks for your comment. We all know that!! I was asking the op.Or are you another one with two screen names??

  5. The one i see is a dark olive green, its a cobra for sure as it reared up as i rode past on mt bike 2 days ago. It crosses the road at the back of our house at dusk from the bamboo heading into the jungle, must be going hunting. Im quite sure its nest is in the bamboo. Anyone know what kind? Is it a spitter?

    sounds like a king.

  6. " I live in the jungle, you have to keep yourself protected from the dangers here you know"

That "jungle" is the natural habitat for the snakes, not yours.

Why not just move to the city where people like you feel safe?

No danger in the Jungle, The Jungle is neutral,,

  7. education, or lack of it, I see people throwing rubbish out of car windows all the time, kids on scooters throwing icecoffee containers and bag onto side of road, ??????

same as in Europe,,,,Germany is bad for that as well. The LKW drivers ( lorry drivers ) always empty the rubish from their cabs,on exits from the autobahn (corners)

as do many car drivers. This happens mainly at night.

People all over the world dump rubbish ( if there is no one to police it ) This has fxxx all to do with thai culture,

  8. Can't believe this thread is still alive.

Hopefully dying a quick death as the racial references were as unoriginal as a morning defecation.

Well old chap, Its you to blame, you are the OP. And you posted it just just for the reason you have stated.

Tell me why do you want to hire one?

Read the OP, I said I was referred to as "khun" after hiring some people for a job. There was no race reference, I just didn't phrase it as a question.

Regards to using the word coon and references to owning one or seeing them around some soi in BKK, that is hillbilly humour=stupid.

    So blame another, genius.

Bullxxxx. You know what you were up to. Any way there are many hanging around Banana Plaza. Also plenty of unemployed throughout BKK

And using the word coon is disgraceful,I think you are trying to hang something on the wrong poster. I did not use that word, and also I think you have got the wrong end of the stick. ITS your post that is hillbilly,, Maybe you should change your TV name to Silly Billy

  10. Also, anyone ever try using baby powder for deodorant?

try snake powder ,the purple one prob ably smells the best (apparently lavender )

its available everywhere and its cheap

I knew a German guy that swore by using the new Black Forest pine needel smell deodorant from Krupp. He always smells like he has just had a sxxt in the Forest.

  11. Pick them up by the tail, taking care not to get stung, these black scorpions, the sting is about same as

a bee, its the ones with thin claws you have to be careful with ,they can be deadly.thanks for not killing

them, lots of people on ThaiVisa seem to want to kill anything that moves.

    regards worgeordie

    Good post and good advice.

They are not really very aggressive, but like most creatures they will defend themselves if they feel threatened.

I have been stung by a scorpion before, but it was my fault, not his.

It was on a piece of wood that I picked up.

    I didn't see it,

It stung me in self defense.

Like you said, it was like a bee sting.

It did hurt, but nothing serious.

In Thailand many people, especially Thai people I know will kill anything that moves.

Curious behavior for people who claim to follow the teachings of the Buddha...huh?

Well in the US any thing that flys dies is that true?

    No, Green job.

    It is not true.

Do you have any more brilliant questions?

Well old chap I can assure you it is true. I have been on shoots in the UK ( commercial phesant shoots ) and anyone from the USA would shoot and kill anything

in range ( like 10ft away and all that )

The saying was Any thing that flys dies. And as far a English woman were concerned,,, they always said,, Two yanks and they were down

Well from what i have seen its true, also anything that walks dies as well is that true?. As they say fill the air with lead and some will connect True?

    even bows and arrows ???
