  1. I have an ED visa. That I renew here at the local immigration office. It is extended 1 month amd the two months. I went back to europe last month and had to get 1 single rentry visa. When I came back they put a 3 months visa stamp in my passport.

I went back to school and they said that the stamp given at the border is wrong. And I have to follow the old visa stamps.

Anyway I went to the immigration, paid the fees and got one month extention. while I was having a stamp from the border that is still valid.

So if I understand you right. If I go to the immigration and pay for a multiple rentry visa I only need to leave the country every 3rd month and I don't need to go to the immigration?

I paid 20 000 baht for the thai course, and every third month I pay 3200 to my school to help me with the renewal.

  2. It's not only the AUD but many other currencies. It's a global issue. Most western countries are facing a bad growth in their economies. In order to stimulate the economy the Federal banks lowered their interest rates which is now at lowest levels (sweden has 0.25%). This is done to create a higher export because when you lower your interest rate the currency gets cheaper. Which makes it cheaper for other countries to buy good from your country and more jobs are created which leads to a better economy. Unfortunately almost every country in the western world is doing this and the growth these countries are wishing for is not happening.

Im my case the Swedish Krona is now 3.7tbh and used to be about 5 tbh few months ago.

The interest rate might be changed earliest second quarter next year. Until then the currency will get cheaper. Or you can hope for an economic crisis im Thailand. :)

  3. Thanks for answering my questions.

I am aware of the safety issues.

My plan is to open in 6-9 months maybe a year. I am asking my questions here to be well prepared. I guess most of the people here work with education. I really appreciate all your answers.

Lostmebike I am well aware of what the purpose with a kindergartens is, but my question here is about the paperwork and the regulation.

I'm in Sweden right now and will be moving to Thailand in a month.

  4. Do I need any licence if I want to open a "clinic" for hair removal with IPL or tattoo removal with laser? I emailed the ministry of health and didn't get any answer. Do I need to hire a thai nurse? I do have few years experience on how to run these machines. Been using those for private use (family & friends) here in Europe.

  5. Hi everyone,

I’m planning to start up a business in Phuket. We well sign a contract for leasing a land in the coming ten days and looking for a building company in Phuket. Any recommendations? We want a serious company that offers good quality services for reasonable prices. It is a simple design 4 walls, inside will be an open space area with no walls except for the kitchen, toilets, smaller office and storage room. It will has a smaller restaurant, bar with drinks & snacks and we will also have pool tables & games. An amusement place. The size will be about 32m X 32 and an upperfloor about 75 sqm with a terrace. We had a plan done by an architect in Europe but it was based on another land that we were supposed to lease and different measurements. We need to redo it and find an architect in Phuket for this purpose. Any recommendations?

Any ideas about the avarage building cost in Phuket? :)
