  1. Hi Ubonjoe, thanks for your post, I've just applied for the new passport letter from the UK Embassy and once received, will take this to get the stamps transferred at Rayong immigration, will report back on TV to update upon return from Immigration offices, appreciate your help as always!

    Hi Mataleo

Thanks for sharing your experience, can I ask you to confirm please, Jomtien Immigration state that it is possible to use the photocopy of old passport photopage, extension stamp, passport receipt and new passport at the border? Many thanks wai2.gif

i asked in jomtien immigration they dont mention letter, only xero copy of passport, stamps etc, and recip from your embassy, for ur passport... then u use both on border

That is what Jomtien need to move the stamps from the old passport to the new one.

Unless you get the stamps transferred at an immigration you need to use both passportd when leaving the country.

  3. That is great news and makes it much easier than going to Bangkok. Thank you again ubonjoe for your help, have a nice Friday. wai2.gif

Wonder please if anyone has applied for a letter from the UK embassy in Bangkok confirming a new passport? I wondered if we could do it online rather than go all the way to Bangkok if possible? Many thanks in advance for any pointers wai2.gif

It can be done by email and then they will mail you the letter.

You need to contact the embassy and they will email a form to you that you can email back to them with scans of both of your passports. They will then mail the letter back to you.

  4. Thank you kindly ubonjoe for your help, I will go about getting the letter from the Embassy and visit immigration to ask to get the extension put into the new passport before I visit the border, appreciate your input thank you very much.wai2.gif

Your extension will still be valid. Immigration will transfer your stamps to your new passport.

It would be best to get your stamps transferred at immigration before heading to the border. You will need a letter from the UK embassy confirming you got a new passport from them.

Some border crossing will send you back to the local immigration office near the border to get the stamps transferred and some have asked for the letter.

  5. I recently obtained a 60 day extension from Immigration and I will be using a new passport to leave Thailand, with the old passport having the extension of stay stamped in it.

Is it OK to use the old and new passports together at the border or do I need to get the extension of stay put into the new passport?

I have heard that when I go to pick up the new passport at VFS in Bangkok the old passport will have the corner cut off it and cancelled.

Will that extension of stay in my old passport still be valid at the border?

    Many thanks in advance. wai2.gif

  6. Don't wish to hijack the thread - please can I ask if it is possible to get a 60 day extension via the TM& route on a Non Immigrant O visa which has a permitted to stay date of 22nd June, this was the last entry on the visa. I am awaiting an UK passport renewal but dont think I will get the new passport back in time with the backlog, If I could extend a stay for 60 days that may give me some time, many thanks for any feedback wai2.gif

    60 days - try 60 years laugh.png if I read today's report correctly...

Tip - don't leave it for the last day as something could go wrong forcing you to go on a visa run...

thumbsup.gif Yes definitely! Hoping that people waiting will get their passports processed soon and thanks for the tip - best to be safe not sorry!

  9. Another thread designed to make Farangs feel better about themselves, guaranteed hits.

Started by an Admin, now there's a surprise.

This penis size thing is ridiculous, what good would a huge penis do in Asia, Asian women are in general smaller than European or African women, so why would an Asian man need a bigger penis ?

    Are you Thai?

    No, I'm a Zulu warrior.

    Your from Isaan?

  12. Please can someone advise, I am having trouble contacting the office via email, I emailed the Maptaphut Immigration Office but the email message bounces back undeliverable: [email protected]

many thanks for any ideas smile.png

Maybe try this alternative e-mail address: [email protected]

The office is, I believe, now officially named Rayong Immigration.

I always find them polite and very helpful there.

Thats great! thank you kindly for your help with the email address A.Boozer, much appreciated wai2.gif
