I think DWP doesn't bother to send Life Certificates to expats anymore- they just stop the payments and wait for us to squawk!
Yes they still send them.

Is it "The Black Mirror" you are all referring to or the UK series Black Mirror ( a sci fi series)?

Why didn't they just ask all Immigration Offices to send a list of all foreigners registered with them and their status, then when we registered it could be cross checked instead of the current farce we find ourselves in.

Well still some light in the tunnel then....I attached my original Visa & Passport page and got the afore mentioned response, sadly no way to correct it, lets hope they get their act together soonest.
If they want Visa ask for Visa if they want latest Extension they should say so.

Dont you mean grow up farangs and obey the emergency decree and wear a mask when out and about.
As said in previous posts they are easily available, not difficult to follow the rules (well for most)

I will continue to wear when on my m.bike, never a user before the rule came in but since I've noticed how much cleaner my throat and nose is since I've been wearing one. The mask prevents the dust and fumes getting into your throat and nose whilst out in traffic.

Instead of stabbing in the dark at what is considered "right" go view it,do not pump out complete c.rap for year on year. By now its hurting the frozen pension, lowest in western world,Id be joining the free food line ups but up to you
And the rule states you shouldn't be claiming to be living in the UK when you are actually living in Thailand.
If you want proof, call them and tell them ...I have been living in Thailand for x years but I tell you I live in the UK is that ok...any bets on what the answer will be?
As I already said its upto you what you do but please dont sell the theory that it is all legal and above board.

Red flagged ,oh the terror where can i hide ? by the way your pension cannot be stopped ,check the govt website before you make silly claims , and who said i was one who did not admit being here? another assumption without checking .
As they say here Up to You, but yes they can stop it to reclaim money you should not have claimed. It doesnt bother me either way as I dont claim to be in the Uk when Im here. Im just given you a heads up of the possibility should they find out!

Is this correct? I assume you know as you posted the stuff...again garbage on the grandest of scales. Beats me why people like you,and you in particular, constantly put this garbage up..".Im in the pit, everyone else should be in the pit with me"
You know nobody, nobody at all on state pension that has money stopped adjusted or claimed back. You might know people ,but not on state pension, read the rules, read the information instead of constantly putting garbage up
Believe what you will, but I assure you it is not garbage! Amazingly everyone else writes garbage while you write the gospel. And as usual you claim to know it all.
It doesnt bother me either way as I dont claim to be in the Uk when Im here.
Im just given you a heads up of the possibility should they find out!
As they say here...Up to you.

I must admit if you check all the govt websites, there is not one case of someone being caught or prosecuted ,Is there?
You are correct in as much as they don't prosecute. What they actually do however should they find out you have been unlawfully claiming is to withhold your pension until they have claimed back the over payment... and before you ask, yes I do know of a number of people this has happened to. Your record is also red flagged so they can keep an eye on you.

If you change your extension of an OA from Retirement to Marriage can you confirm the financials required...
400k 2 mths before and to be maintained during the under consideration period and No Health Insurance requirements?? (I have insurance but not on their list which is twice the cost hence the change)
-
I understand the statements for the monthly income, but, it seems some offices are asking for 12 mths statements even for the 800k in the bank to prove you have met the 800k 3 mths before & after and no less than 400k for the remaining months before bringing the balance back to 800k 3 mths before the next extension.
What is wrong with a copy of the Bank Book covering the months required and signed by the bank along with the bank letter... talk about making hard work of a simple task.????

Strange, there was a large printed sign saying there was facing me as I did my renewal last month.
Does this mean they do or do not?

There is not "grandfathering" in it since it was not intended to be for old OA visa entry extensions. There is also nothing in the order stating is retroactive.
As far as grandfatering goes it would normally of been a exemption from the new rules for a year similar to what they have done before when there was a significant change.
The rule from 1998 onward was different due to it affecting people going back several years. What is odd is that many people that qualified for it were not aware of it.
I agree with you, when the talk of introducing it was first mentioned it was for New OAs and I understand that, as no cash needs to be shown in the country, unlike an extension, but, If it was not ment to be for those on old OA extensions why is it being enforced this way and why doesnt the Head of Imm instruct its offices of the correct procedure. As OAs can only be got in the home country Immigration should have nothing to do with it & should be left to the Embassy issuing the visa.

I don't think it will. IMO it was not originally meant for extension application that were for entries from a old OA visa but that got messed up by the way immigration did the police order.
They picked the OA visa due to it being issued by an embassy or official Thai consulate. I think they had it in mind that there was a greater chance of them being more likely not to have ties to the country that would prevent them from bailing out of the country to avoid paying for a hospital bill than those on extension of stay.
The sad part of this Joe is it is easily rectified by changing the police order so it is only for New OAs or grandfathering those on OAs pre Oct 2019, I won't be holding my breath!!

3. In case of applicants who have a high health risk so cannot purchase the insurance but allowed to apply the visa, the Immigration Bureau should set the additional conditions (e.g. the provision of the larger amount of deposit)
Reason: The foreign elderly have the adequate amount of money for medical free and otherhttp://www.hss.moph.go.th/fileupload_doc/2019-10-18-1-19-50192312.pdf
When Insurance was first being spoken about this is what they said would happen, that a deposit of around 440k which would give similar cover to that being offered by the Ins companies, so that those who was unable through age, cost or pre conditions would have the required cover.
But it seems somewhere between preparation and implementation it got lost along the way.

But everyone NEEDS insurance irrespective. Self responsibility
Dear God, Thats not in dispute...
ONLY OA visa Holders are required to hold COMPULSORY INSURANCE & purchased thro the 12 companies listed by the Cartel, 6 of which dont insure over 65 and the others with sky high premium.
