  1. Does the money have to be taxed since it likely comes from abroad? 🤪
  2. ...then I'm glad this problem has been a thing of the past since 2011.
  3. What was the phone number again where I can report taxi drivers who refuse to turn on the taxi meter?
  4. I'm still waiting for the announced reduction of the wine import tax to boost the tourism and hospitality sector.
  5. A year ago I was thinking about buying a condo in Thailand. The 49% quota for foreigners would hardly ever have become a problem. But what definitely stopped me from buying is the new tax law. I am now even about to leave Thailand with my family.
  6. ...in the same boat: my bill would be higher too and I would def. be leaving too (after 20y in Thailand)...
  7. ...or you already bought a condo before 2024 (or a car) that you are still paying off. Do you have to pay taxes on the monthly installments starting this year?
  8. Two questions that I haven't found an answer to yet: 1. I am retired early and married in Thailand. My mother who does not live in Thailand pays for our children's education. Until now she had sent the money to my Thai account and I then transferred it to the schools. I would have to pay taxes on this money from now on, right? Are these school fees also subject to tax law if my mother transfers the money directly to the school using an international bank transfer? 2. How is inherited money treated when I send it to Thailand?
