1. that is a BS survey, nothing too wrong with swampy, just shows the surveyors have never been to Manila. a few people have already touched on it, but the worst ever is Ninoy Aquino, it is a 100% total cluster <deleted>, what with scams going on inside , scam taxis as well, no seating, hell went there last night to pick up some friends, couldnt even get into the arrival hall to see if the plane is ontime/landed, guard kept saying cant come in here go that way, walked almost to the end of the building near the car park, and some tomboyish thing was locking the doors, when asked if could go in it just grunted and pointed back in the direction we just came from . couldnt organize a crap in a country outhouse any of them.

  2. nobody knows if the big biker was speeding, but looking at the damage to both bikes, its a fair guess he was , and anyone who rides or drives in Thailand knows exactly what to expect in regards to people changing lanes , pulling out without looking and many other things, drive/ride to the conditions, cause speed will kill you, not a matter of if, but when. both at fault for me.

  3. the above is all interesting info for me , as im planning to buy a house in OZ and rent to a family member, the benefit of that is i will have a place to stay when home on holiday. right now i am classed as a non resident, i dont own anything or have any income from OZ, but i am working in the Philippines for now, and my salary goes into account in OZ. That investment would form part of my super in retirement, but i would not be happy to pay out 48% tax on the rental income, nor get taxed on my overseas salary, maybe i need to rethink where or what to invest in.

  4. ive had it for most of my life, now 51, and i found the best thing for me is to get out in the sun, it got rid of the big patches all over me in a flash, and they havent returned, i do however still get it in my scalp and other places where the sun dont shine. agreed diet plays a big part, but there are other components as well. Thanks Farma for the Usana tip , will look into that, as recently i have had a flare up of both psoriasis, and psoriatic arthritis, and its stopped me in my tracks from exercising , not happy.

  5. they told me they go to victory, but only went to the outer bus station, sai tai , or something similar, its 50 clicks from bkk. trains too slow , although would have been faster than what i did, and the swampy bus service is great, did that before as well , so a good option. just letting people know, that the mini van people might say they go to don muang or victory, but they might not take you there.

  6. Hua Hin is definitely hard to get to, and back to bkk on public transport now, buses leave from Bangkok terminal which is around an hour, and a 300 baht taxi ride from Suk. then the crappy bus takes another 3 hours . do decent buses go from Mor chit ?.coming back took a minivan, the first place asked me to buy an extra seat for my suit case, so i moved to another, she asked if i wanted to go to victory, which i replied yes, so paid for the ticket, (not for the case), and ended up back at that same bus station again, got into an argument with the driver when i said this doesnt <deleted> look much like victory, why if they dont go there anymore , say that they do. next time i will save all the hassles and just take a taxi, price is not that bad all things considered.

  7. The old casino was closed for a couple of years, but now a smaller version has been open for around 18 months. nice area with Kep and Kamot just up the road, or Phu Quok nearby in Vietnam. as for the other stuff you mention , i dont know about before, but theres not much going on now.

    Cheers.

  8. yes its still prevalent at land crossings, i live near Prek Chak border, and yesterday had to get a visa for my GF (filipino), i asked a Khmer guy i work with to go and check the price for an E visa, he came back with 35 dollars, i said great , thats what the internet says, 5 mins later send my GF with him to get it , and now the price has gone to 45 dollars, so there was a standoff for a while , until the grumpy corrupt c...t finally said ok 40 dollars, ended up paying that. your right Ttt , annoying but thats Cambodia.

  9. Thank you very much Sheryl, and DogNo1 , i did forget to mention for the gastritis im currently on a course of Nexium, Mucosta, Domp-M and Xanidine, but the leg pain started well before i started taking those. i have already began to drink electrolyte drinks, and have found a good multi vitamin , with plenty of B vitamins and minerals, very lucky to find where i am . so hopefully that does the trick and i can exercise again soon. Thanks again.

  10. Now for my next problem, been experiencing a little pain and numbness in my left leg when jogging, mostly from the knee down to foot, also on the inside of my left elbow, can only feel it when i twist my arm. been going on about 6 weeks now, but before i could only feel it when jogging, it got progressively worse the longer i went, but after i cooled down it was ok and back to normal , couldnt feel anything. last week or so can now feel it all the time, and cannot exercise at all.done a little research already, but would like also to get the opinions of the medical people on here, not easy for me to rush off and see the doctor, takes some time and planning cause of where i work , so want to start here. i was wondering cause i have gastritis, would my body have problems absorbing the nutrients before they passed through, im always fatigued and tired and yawn from the moment i wake till the moment i go to sleep, and i get good sleep every nite, 8 hours min. my diet is prob not the best, but i think its ok. was also wondering if it would be advisable to get a test done to see if i have any vitamin deficiencies, and if so where in Bangkok could get this done, also if anyone knows the cost. the only other thing i can think of right now is , i always used to take anti inflams, ( piroxicam mostly ) for psoriatic arthritis, but the last few weeks been giving my body a rest from them, could it be i have some inflammation somewhere causing this new problem. Thanks to everyone taking the time to read this and offer any advice.

  11. Hi , thanks for all the replies, i recently had an endoscopy done at Yanhee, the verdict was some erosion in places, along with chronic gastritis. my doctor there prescribed 4 different medicines for 2 to 3 months, nexium being one of them . she did advise me to buy it outside the hospital ,which i would have done anyway, but i think maybe she has shares in that company, not sure why she didnt just say buy the omeprazole, which i will now do. Btw , couldnt fault anything with their service and waiting times at Yanhee, plenty of Philippine staff for English as well, thoroughly recommended.

  12. hi all, just a follow up, i went to lucky moto and they can help, even though my home country license has been expired for a long time, over 5 years. well when i say help , it can be done , but at a cost of course, if home license was still valid, then 55 USD, for expired license add another 100 USD, and im good to go . i dont need an international permit for driving in my home state in OZ, as long as the license i have has english writing, so all good .

  13. my grandfather hat psoriasis: He got a lot better by lots of UV. Bought a solarium and got full scale sun ever day (brown) and strange enough when it went away it didn't came again.

    My mother nothing

I once took care of her garden and ate lots of tomato...I got it, but it went away when I reduced tomato. If you eat lots of tomato try to test if makes it worse

Same. Brother-in-law had it all his life. Went on hols and got badly sunburned and it went away. Did sun beds after that and it stayed away. Strange.

What really!!? Do you mean some sun bed sessions and it went away without the need for constant sessions, or did he keep going back?

when i was young i had patches as big as my hand all over my torso, when they finally sent me to the UV and i got really burned, they disappeared almost overnite, and have never returned, thats almost 25 years ago, but i still get it on my under carriage, in arm pits , scalp a little , and other places the sun cant get to.

  14. i dont think short hair suits me either, but everytime i get it cut short, i make sure to get a few good doses of sunshine before it gets too long again, keeps it at bay just enough, so im not to shy about going to the barbers. i use a scalp cleansing lotion called sebitar, i usually bring back a big bottle from oz , not sure you can get it here, but try the pharmacies, might be able to get something similar, that seems to help as well. ive also had some strange questions from girlfriends over the time, but the most common was, will you give it to me , lol. most were ok about it, once i reassured them that this was all mine and cannot pass it on. my current gf is filipina , and she is really understanding, im sure diet is a big part of it, but there are so many other factors as well, which makes solving the puzzle so difficult.
