This has to be fake news someone made up. No breathing sentient being could make such a <deleted> statement.

How many God damn harvesters could you buy for the price of one piece of <deleted> antique Chinese submarine? <deleted> this government.

I asked the head honcho in CM immigration this exact question last week. After reading through his bulletins and making two phone calls he told me no, only on application for extension.

This whole thing is a brown envelope pig slop fest between the government and the Thai General Insurance Association. At my age, the 400,000 coverage amounts to about $13,100 US at 30.5 to the dollar. For this I would pay a 59,000 baht premium (one of the least expensive I found). That's almost $2000 a year.
I busted my ass and made my fortune and self insure. I can afford it. This is nothing more than another fee to live in the kingdom. The coverage is absurdly inadequate and the premiums usurious.
It really beggars belief.

I really wish people would follow the links in the articles posted. The cost of the insurance to meet the requirements is about 20,000 baht a year. Less than 400 baht a week. For someone contemplating spending 12 months in Thailand it is the proverbial drop in the ocean. That is with major insurers like AXA and Pacific Cross.
<deleted>. For 65 to 70 age group AXA is 86,700 annual.

" Yet, after filling the first page with my personal information, I was not able to access the next page, the app instead showing me a window telling me to consult the immigration office."
I think you get the same msg if trying on a PC if you attempt it more than 14 days before your due date.

I sent mine off to CM embassy about ten days ago via Thai post with tracking. Got cancelled old and new one back in the mail yesterday. Fast! Friend of mine applied at the CM embassy last week and they let him keep his old passport, said he has 90 days to pick up the new one whereupon they will cancel his old one with the drill holes. He paid at the embassy, Thai baht. I went through the get two bank checks routine.
-
I'm getting ready to renew a US passport and according to the embassy website you now do it all by mail. I understood that before when placing the application with the embassy that they gave you a receipt that you could use to show your passport was in their possession. By mail, no receipt. Thinking I'll hand deliver the app to the CM embassy to check on this.
Good heads up on the bank account pp # updating. The number is also on my Thai DL but I don't think that would need correcting until renewal, even though it is used in lieu of the pp for mail and hotels.
I'm hoping that on transfer of the visa stamps to the new pp that I won't have any problems with subsequent online TM30 filings.

You could end up in a drafty Thai jail. The Cod will be taken from you and probably put into one of the many shelters where she will get counseling and placement into an adoptive dinner table.

Anyone here know if you can do the walk-in service in Chiang Mai?
-
Don't know about other areas, but I just did my 90 day online in Chiang Mai on a Sunday and the receipt was ready on Monday. CM Imm. is getting it down!

Exactly why u bought one, sit back and relax in a nice comfy position and watch all the wanabee boy racers risk their life.
You are all missing one important difference. The Aerox has 14" wheels. This makes a world of difference in stability, handling and grip. Yes I'm an old man but that is me in my avatar and I ain't dead yet.
But I will grant that the Max is the better, softer riding long distance option.

The question should really be, would Trump start a war to deflect from the looming charges he's going to face. Or... How nuts is he. That doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. The other question should be, if he does give some harebrained orders that would see lots of people die, would someone in the inner circle put a bullet in his head for the good of humanity. Not advocating that, just saying its not inconceivable.
That crooked money hungry Putin is right on this one. Let NK have nukes. Mutually assured destruction is a wonderful deterrent. India has them. Pakistan has them. The cats been out of the bag for a long time.
If I was president, Hey Kim Jong, tell you what, you're a good old fart. Let's sign a peace deal to officially end the Korean war and we'll give you some nukes to insure your security. China would shit.

Parts I've found;
All Facebook on the web.
TM Shop
Likeitracingshop
Murizaki Shop
I believe those are all in Bangkok.
In Chiang Mai I had the forks done at The Piston Shop. Nat the owner speaks excellent English and even if you ask nice he wont let you try his Ducati 996. 555

Because I can't find good info in English I've started a new thread on this bike on the Adventure Rider website. Here;

Though I expect Thai Visa might be the go-to place for awhile.

I have read those flower petal brake disc's are a waste of time, offer no better performance and eat brake pads faster etc
Even the abs version doesn't have them
They're lighter but more importantly they cool faster which makes a big difference if you use them hard (which I tend to do on our marvelous Thai roller coaster roads). Less fade when hot. They don't eat pads faster and pads are cheap. They are a waste of time if you ride sensibly like most people do. Unfortunately, I'm a loon in the turns.

Are you thinking of getting an after market pipe?
And getting rid of the center stand?
Would probably save almost 10kg by removing them. :D
No pipe. I like the center stand. Its fast enough and light enough for what it is. I'm more concerned with ride and cornering abilities and keeping the utility. My profile pic was ten years ago. I'm too old to go that fast anymore.

Did you change to the front petal disc also? As I thought that only came with the R version as in the pic of the first white one.
Yes. 600 baht.

What exactly is the issue with the stock suspension?
Is it inadequate for a farang or 2 persons combined weight or just too hard/soft?
Also, was there much difference between the R version and the standard version ?
I haven't heard from anyone yet who has tried them Both.... Hopefully they will sell it in more countries so we get info we can understand....
Stock suspension is really very good , though on the sporty firm side. Not like the PCX flying couch.
R Version has wave discs, remote nitrogen shock and boy racer painted wheels.
R vs Std Versions... I actually think the suspension on the standard is firmer than the R, but that could be because my R demo had 5000k on the clock and my standard is new. Not sure. Otherwise their equal.
Both versions are very well balanced in the turns. Surprisingly so for a scooter.

PS...
Yes, it is sportier and a firmer ride. You pay on the flats and collect in the curves. Its not a comfort cruiser. Its a fun bike. Come on you guys... You're not that old yet.

I rented an R version Aerox for three days and gave it a proper Doi Suthep test. Wow! Big Fun! After nine months on the Honda Click shopping trolly it was like getting back on a real motorcycle. I can't stress enough how much stability and grip you get from the 14 inch wheels and wider tires. Its a proper contact patch.
I was really concerned about filtering to the front of the queue for the green light grand prix but its no problem at all and every bit as maneuverable as the small scoots.
I did some shopping around and bought the standard model in white at the big dealer in the old city, Chiang Mai for 62,000. They were having a 2000 baht off promotion. They threw in a very nice Yamaha branded helmet. I took the savings from the R model and put on the RCB shock in their accessories brochure and ordered a YSS fork kit. Put the shocks on this morning and, maybe they will break in, but I'm not impressed. I'd recommend bite the bullet and buy the Ohlins. Or just stay stock. They're really not too bad.
So far I've ridden the Samoeng Loop, the back roads north of Mon Cham, Doi Suthep and around and about town. I LOVE THIS BIKE! I expect the price to go up soon because its a steal compared to Clicks, Nmax, or PCX pricing.
The only thing I don't like is all the discussions on line are in Thai, Indonesian and Phillipa and Google translate is crap at all three.

I'm considering an Aeorx to replace my Click for a better hiway ride but I'll be damned if I can find any info on the manufacturer's warranty. Anybody here know what it covers and for how long?
Massage chair pad - Where to buy in CM?
in Chiang Mai
Posted
I'm looking for a simple roller massage chair pad, the kind you can just place in a chair. Don't need heat or anything fancy. Which stores should I check? Thanks.
