  1. Hello, we are currently overseas so unable to personally check into this; forum feedback will be most appreciated. Are any BKK hospitals offering Mohs micrographic surgery with concurrent biopsy for skin cancer? If so, what has been the experience with it and is any particular doctor recommended? Equally, does any forum member have experience with Singapore's National Skin Center's Skin Cancer center and whether they accept expat patients? I have a basal cell carcinoma in an area of my face which is said to be riskier for recurrence, so want it removed and done right. If I have to I'll have it done for mega-money in the US but would prefer not to do that.

Thanks for any suggestions, guidance, feedback.

    Cheers!

  2. Any feedback on Dr Sittiporn Srinualnad for prostate cancer treatment in BKK? Is he open to brachy treatment if the numbers call for it---or just prostatectomy? He's at Bumrungrad but only twice a week-----maybe someone knows where he practices the remainder of time.I don't yet have biopsy results yet, just had it done after 6.8 PSA reading up from 4.0 last year.My father died of prostate ca, so I am just trying to figure out what to do IF.... Currently in the US but not insured for US healthcare so bad results would bring us back soon. I read good things about Dr Viroj Chodchoy in other posts but also like the creds of Dr Sittiporn. Thanks for any help anyone can give

  3. Can anyone tell us where the Royal Barge procession on June 12 can be viewed from? The BKK information office told us that you have to buy tickets---but they did not know where or what they cost. Maybe that is the hi-so option? Presumably we could just find a river-frontage place like the Fort on Phra Athit to watch from ?We will be traveling from now till just before the event, so we are trying to find out as much as posssible in case the main public places are being blocked with scaffolding seats and we DO have to buy tix!

We were not here for the Asean event, so want to see the final procession this time.

    Thanks for any low-down!

  4. I would appreciate help from anyone with experience with Bangkok medical care/surgery for myelopathy aka radiculopathy? After experiencing numbness in my right leg I saw a GP at a major BKK hospital who referred me to a neurosurgeon if it did not improve. After a month it was worse (my shoulder also) so I followed up and had a neurosurgeon-recommended MRI. This shows that nerves are being pinched by calcification on the 4,5,6,vertebrae at my neck. They propose surgery to remove the vertebrae and insert a prosthesis. The surgeon glossed over any risks and did not suggest any alternatives to the knife so I am not thrilled to continue with him.

Has anyone gone through a similar situation? If so,any experiences shared would be a help and any recommendations of surgeons I should talk to ---orthopeadic(How IS that spelled??) or neurosurgeon?---would be much appreciated. As an alternative I tried Celebrex for a month when traveling, based on internet information. It helped somewhat but not enough to put off the need to get reliablecare. We are in the Bangkok area.

Thanks--any inputs, ideas, suggestions are welcomed.
