  1. Many here suggest the TE card but its unthinkable to me because:

    1. It is still illegal to "work" while here with TE card. By "work" I mean work remotely with my business in my country. So im breaking Thai law when I bring in already taxed funds to spend in Thailand. I would feel very stupid to pay 500 000 bath and committing a crime.

    2. I can afford to pay 500 000 but it still relatively a lot of money. Most people in my country (western Europe) have to work for a couple years to save this amount of money. Also the thought of giving away this amount of money to be allowed to stay here and spend my money would also make me feel stupid.I would rather give 500 000 bath to the red cross.

Hugolars, working remotely with your business in your country is legal with Visa ED ?

Everyone, what is a TE card ? o.O

  2. You can use an onward ticket you don't need a return ticket.

You could buy a ticket to Myanmar or any other nearby country. Air Asia has a good website where you can buy your tickets on line.

Ubonjoe, if I haven't ticket yet in my return in Hong-Kong, is it good to book it in an Air Asia office at Hong-Kong ??? Just asking ;-) Anyway, I think I will probably book this ticket before going to Hong-Kong and keep it in hand when I going back to Thailand.

  3. In this thread, people tell me to get any ticket to another country : http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/736570-one-way-ticket-from-hong-kong-to-thailand-with-air-asia/?p=8014737

I copy my answer here :

It's a bit complicated to travel around Thailand with flexibility and finish to get a Visa ED.

So, I think I will book a new air ticket to Burma (I want travel this beautiful country).

    So I will :

    - ask a tourist Visa in my embassy in Belgium (double entry)

    - stay 10 days in Thailand

    - do my trip in Hong-Kong

    - come back in Thailand about 40 days and ask for a Visa Education (ED) because I want stay in Thailand for studying

    - ask a re-entry permit

    - and then, go to Burma for short trip, and then come back in Thailand with a good Visa ED with re-entry permit

So, Belgium -> Thailand -> Hong-Kong -> Thailand (ask Visa ED) -> Burma -> Thailand.

With all these tickets, all no have any problem :-s

Do you think it's a good idea ?

  5. Hello,

I will come to Thailand soon, few weeks, and go out the country for a short trip in Hong-Kong.

After that, I come back to Thailand to study. My school tell me that I have to wait 5 weeks for the Visa ED. So, when I will come back from Hong-Kong to Thailand, il will not have Visa (just my passport) and not have flight ticket to go out the country.

Do you think Air Asia can allow me to take the flight to come back Thailand with my little passport ? Or, I will have some troubles ?

  6. Hello,

I think the Thai law allows European tourists to enter the country with a passport and a one-way ticket. Right ?

But I've heard stories about airlines. It is forbidden to board the plane if you have a one-way ticket to Thailand, for example with Air France.

What about Ukraine Airlines? How do I know if I could check-in with a one-way ticket?

I'm going to Thailand to study in three weeks, but I'm late to ask my Visa in my country (Belgium) :'-(

    Thanks for your help.
