a new slant on the visa issue I think. most countries do not allow economic migrants entry into their countries but we who live in in Thailand are the reverse . they go earn more we come to pay less. there are other factors like marriage to a thai lady who I am one and the climate and the way of life. so perhaps we should not be to critical of the thai powers in charge that they are coming into line with most of the rest of the world and banning people with no proper visas from working and staying in Thailand

must be fast connection as man in the internet shop offered to pay for the mast and receiver and

give me free internet if he could charge people in the village to connect to said mast. I did not

take up his offer as I did not want my internet slowed down

was using 3g dtac air card 49 baht a day. spoke to local internet shop about 5 kilometres away who suggested a radio receiver. so erected an 18 meter mast with guy cables in back garden with a receiver on the top ( cost 10000 baht for receiver and mast ) now have unlimited broadband for 300 baht per month. paid for 1 year 4000 baht 400 for him to install it. have a password and just login. may pay to talk to local internet/games shop and see what they can do.

in krasung our power regularly goes off during a storm anywhere between a few seconds and 30 mins. as this kept switching my computer off and I was worried windows would get corrupted I purchased a ups and since I installed this no problems. these can be purchased from Tesco or robinson for between 1500 and 5000 baht
