  1. Blind will play defensive midfield...like he normally does. The Netherlands gig was out of necessity, partly thru Willems injury.

    I hope so.

Him and Herrera in midfield. With the bite of Rojo as CB behind is certainly something they've been lacking.

So that's why there is a delay on the work permit. FA don't want another li'l Luis on the premisesbiggrin.png

Not far off it, as it happens. :D

Still has court issues in Argentina.

  2. I don't think Honda's are better quality wise than Kawasaki, it's about the same man.

Going on the recent platforms available locally, I think all acknowledge Kawasaki as being far better quality wise.

The 250sl is a new platform, which I don't think has been tested in another bike, unless they've taken it from the KLX!

The CBR comes from the CBR250 which has been reportedly less reliable compared to the Kawasaki small motorcycles.

  4. A comparison thread for those considering either bike.

    I am.

    The 250sl looks better imo.

The CBR300 is deceptive by name, really only 286cc.

Price point, the Kawasaki is the winner at 121k (fared), 118k (naked). CBR at around 140k (fared) and 130k (naked)

Weight, claimed weight has the Kawa as lower, and has them as about equal when it come to the power to weight ratio.

I think many would rather deal with a large Kawa shop than a local Honda one, but it depends on one's location.

Quality, up for debate. There's been criticism of the Honda 250, which the 286 is based on. Really the 250 version with an increase in bore and stroke.

Which one would you buy, and why?

  5. I think I'm going to get the naked version. An all round unbeatable package. I don't need the speed, power, size or weight of the 300 twin.

Actually the naked twin is (was as this supplants it?) only a 250.

For some reason the z250 twin didn't interest me in the same way that this single does.

With the 30,000+ baht price difference I would rather put that into the single, as a full-system pipe etc. than buy the stock z250. I don't really need one, would just be a fun little runabout.

  6. Folks looking to possibly buy the Honda 300

should also take a look at the new Kawasaki singles IMHO wink.png

Power to weight is slightly better & HP/Torque near identical

Price is 118k for the naked & 121k for the ninja

yes, very similar bikes, just honda has 300 cc engine

    No it does not.

You've been taken in by their false advertizing. :(

  7. I wonder how many Immigration Officers have seen this post and can't wait to deny another Alien an extension.

    Somewhere between zero and none.

Ignorant remark. How do you know this?

Because you can't recognize or identify anyone in the photo that has caused you to meltdown.

  8. They look great all round.

Let's not forget they're only 37cc less, not 50, than the so called CBR300, a good bit lighter, and less likely to have the issues the Hondas have. Better shops too unless you're way out in the boonies and away from a Kawa dealer.

I would definitely go for one of these if I was in the market. The naked one looks great, 118k baht is a steal!

Remember that Kawasaki is just as 'optimistic' on the weight as they are on the HP. 12 kg of weight that takes a bike from dry to kerb weight is ~14 litres of fuel. Put the battery back in and add another ~3 litres of oil and I would bet the Kawi is heavier than the Honda.

    Possibly.

Got to get them both on the scales before they get in the ring.biggrin.png

  9. With 2 kids of similar age, consider hiring a teacher to teach them at home, as a homeschool but with hired teachers.

Perhaps a Filipino teacher and Thai teacher to do a few hours a day, or weekends.

Same education, none of the indoctrination and conditioning that makes them drones.

2-3 hours per day at home, learning the same stuff as in school, will keep them on the same level.
