  1. Ok kebabs from the syrian in front of chang club

Horrible kebabs at the end of bangla (beach end)

You're in a notorious tourist ripoff zone and you're making comments about Thailand in general ? Did you really expect to find the world's best anything in Patong ?

My advice is to get on a plane and go someplace else - I'm guessing that they have decent kebabs in Turkey - Melbourne might be a bit nippy at this time of year.

at least mrworldwide knows his kebabs and perhaps how to find thailand on a world map.

  2. Everyone knows in thailand everyone is trying to screw everyone but its ridiculous the lengths some people will go to make a baht.

Ive bought three samsung chargers this month all are retarted to the point of taking 24 hours to charge , and the food In 7/11 is comparable to cardboard, the whisky is actually good, the beer is fine, the tobacco is foul the wifi is from the 90's the tv is on repeat, the kebabs are unedible , im struggling to find quality in thailand lately and im not with this eating animal organs to save money .

  3. Well I live in Thailand and I've only ever posted from here for the past eight years, let me tell you it's no fun trying to correct the myths created by the two week experts who seem to be able to understand the finest details of Thai culture.

I know nothing about Thai culture and precious little of the language, but do you really think ThaiVisa is a beacon for those who are genuinely interested in immersing themselves in the culture ? I suspect that you know as well as I do that there are long timers whose sole purpose on this board seems to be Thai-bashing - what have they really learned for all their years in Thailand beyond bitterness and defeat ? At least when I run into some poor sod in the bars who is convinced that 'his' girl really loves him I can smile and reflect on the journey. I live here now and - God willing - I'll die here, but I'm damned if I'll get into pissing contests about who knows more about Thailand and its people.

A kiwi restaurant owner in bkk who I thought knew the most about thailand had never even heard of thaivisa . Lol

  4. Why people keep wanting to go there is beyond me. A lot of the people I speak to and friends as well want to get the hell out. If only they were told the truth about how expensive it is to live there and how much the government rip you off, they may quickly change their minds. At least corruption here is out in the open and you know what you're getting before you arrive.

Many many people from shit hole countrys come to me and ask why you not work in australia , australia very good country . Im trying to tell them its about as interesting as a wet carrot there to me but they dont care they just wannabe In a place were they dont have to be exploited by other greedy people from the same shit hole countrys who they will soon become if they can make money in oz and start a business.

  5. If they are on an education visa, they are not refugees.

One of them had a ed visa and the other had a piece of paper claiming refugee status in thailand. Both were very interested in the cambodia deal they could do a year in detention sittin on there heads by the look of them.
