  1. Sheryl and Meatboy,

Thanks so much for your reply.

We took our dog to the vet last Monday. The vet did a fine needle aspirate and sent it to BKK for cytology. The report came back and mentioned Round Cell Tumour. There are few kinds of Round Cells Tumour and the report did not indicate which one. This is pretty frustrating as it left us in the limbo, not knowing what we are dealing with.

My dog is scheduled to have the nodule removed this evening. The plan is to send the nodule for biopsy. Now, my concern is - are we able to get a accurate and detailed histopathology this time? I'm talking about what type of tumour it is, the staging, mitotic range, grading, prognosis etc. Will I be able to get information like these in Thailand?

For those dog owners whose dog had gone through something similar, what's your experiences?

Sorry to ramble. We just moved here, haven't had the time to adjust, heavily pregnant and now dealing with this.

  2. Hello everyone,

I need some help here. We just moved to Pattaya about two months ago and we are looking for a good vet who is experienced in canine cancer.

We have a nine year old male golden retriever. He had Mast Cell Tumours last year, vet gave him Palladia (chemo drug), had surgery to remove the lumps and no issue since. That was 8 months ago.

A few days ago, we discovered a small growth next to his paw pad. We took him to Thonglor Pet Hospital and the vet did a cytology. Report indicated Round Cells Tumour.

We would like to seek a second opinion. We know there's an oncologist in Bkk but we would prefer to find someone who specialises in canine cancer before expanding our search elsewhere.

Any advices, suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.
