  1. Excuse me for mentioning it but 2JZ is a straight 6 and your 300ZX is designed for a V6. Do you know something I and 300 million car enthusiasts don't know?

Maybe he does know something that you don't know, the other 299,999,999 may know it also. What does the configuration of the engine matter? JZs can replace many original engines, V6s, i4s, rotarys, V8s, diesels.

  2. "...I've made more then enough salient points and it grows tiresome repeating them."

Tiresome, WarpSpeed, tiresome? That's an understatement. And to claim that your points are salient is a rather subjective description.

And, I have not had an answer as to why hot hatch racers have to have a roll cage IF they are all perfect drivers, even 12 second drag street cars must have a roll cage................coffee1.gif

Why are you asking me that question? The little professor's the one to direct that to.

Your recommendation to the OP's topic is what exactly? Mine would be a Tesla, if it so important, might as well go to the only car in the world that exceeded the 5 star crash rating and be environmentally conscious at the same time. Can be had in Thailand and comes with the same safety package regardless of location. Does the troll have a better contribution?

Simply making a fairly accurate observation which some might say is a better contribution than yours. Do your years of experience allow that? That was a rhetorical question, it doesn't need an answer.

  4. In theory the safer vehicle to drive is the one with the greater mass and efficient crumple zones during a collision.

I prefer to drive a car that is larger then the average car so my choice is something weighing +2000 kgs preferably of european origin.

Most accidents in Thailand involve motorcyles and pickups so statistically speaking the odds are in my favor.

Even though I love those Harley's and Bugatti's I avoid motorcycles at all costs as I prefer metal covering my hide then my hide covering metal.

"Even though I love those Harley's and Bugatti's I avoid motorcycles..."

You're right, those Bugatti motorcycles are potential deathtraps.

  5. I find it curious that apart from some insignificant Chiang Mai rag, this report that evokes so much emotion is only being carried by ThaiVisa. The normally reliable Bangkok Post has not touched it neither has ThaiVisa's mate, The Nation from where they usually lift their news items

Could this be nothing more than a cynical marketing ploy and alcoholic scaremongering by the owners of this forum, who clearly know the mentality of many of it's members, to enhance their advertising revenue by virtue of more hits to their website?

"George" is probably watching this thread in delight at the number of banal (but potentially lucrative), misunderstood comments that are being made.

I don't suppose my post will be allowed to remain here for very long!

    ...

  6. yes. It seems these little local news sites are always desperate for something to report.

I'm also a bit confused by the story. It says "Previously there were 3 big holes on the edge of the road but 2 of them had been buried." How does somebody bury a hole? I thought we buried things in holes and then filled them.

Don't be confused, you have to bear in mind that not all of us are as intelligent as you.

  7. amazing the cheerleading for a dead farange,

and no one suspects she murdered him, but left 200 baht for the police to be miffed?

Amazing that you thought he was a farang.

And more amazing that you assume his death is not being investigated even though the report said the woman was wanted for questioning.

my bad, saying it was likely a frange,

their bad, for stating he was clothed

"my bad", "their bad", what? What does that mean?

  8. Why not take a look and study same in western countries before putting into effect such harsh and unenforcable laws. How about farangs arriving at the airport wearing a heineken t-shirt. Sorry sir, you have to take off your shirt.

How about reading the report properly? This is nothing to do with branded clothing unless it is worn by people working in bars or restaurants.

  9. A vehicle is only as safe as its driver

    Spot on...

see above - a totally facile comment (par for the course?)

See above, a completely sensible comment, one can wrap themselves in bubble wrap for safety and if you can't drive capably no amount of "safety" features or vehicle size is going to help you or the others around you on the road. I drove a small SEAT Cordoba there for years and guess what? No reason to feel unsafe, in fact felt/feel VERY safe as did/does my family, because of WHO was/is driving the car they ride in..

  10. Is anyone investigating what the fate of these babies was going to be?,

sold to couples that are unable to have their own,one is already in the

hands of a convicted pedophile, there is a lot of serious questions that

need to be asked and answered.

This is a sordid business, motivated by money, greed, and should be stopped.

    regards worgeordie

"This is a sordid business, motivated by money, greed, and should be stopped."

But in most cases it is motivated by genuine couples' desires to have children.

  11. Lies , Lies and more lies, no doubt where the morals lie, the old man didn't worry about his wife being pregnant to the Jap, primarily because the old lady was making a quid, lying to the court should attract some time in prison ,strange that such a large scale business was kept under the radar for so long, strange indeed. coffee1.gif

"...no doubt where the morals lie..."

This is commercial surrogacy, where does morality come into it? The arrangements are agreed between the father of the children and the surrogate mothers (and presumably their families).

"...lying to the court should attract some time in prison.."

So it should, if it was under oath, but this case hasn't been before a court so what is your point?
