    Sunday penalty rates squashed.

The highest energy prices in the world.

Food prices are higher than the US & EU

Petrol prices are at their peak.

The Queensland gov just quashed a 3 billion $ casino meca project for the GC.

    Unemployment is rampent

Drugs are out of control in most VIC schools

Ice is rampent in most Queensland country towns.

    Hyperbole much...

Sunday rates were only cut for a select few industries (which I still don't agree with, but it wasnt a cut across the boards)

Energy costs are not the highest in the world, far from it, and neither are fuel costs. Where did you get this rubbish from???

Food prices are high, but again not anywhere near the highest in the world and comparing it to two areas are silly, but then again - you also fail to mentiom Australians have one of the highest weekly wage earnings.

Good that the gov finally put the GC spit issue to bed. Dragged on far too long.

Unemployment rampant- compared to what? It's actually low (5%). So again, your whinge has no basis. Which also goes for your drug rant.

Your whole post is nothing more then alikely baseless pathetic rant.

If you can, that is only if you can,  if I was in your place, I would postpone my trips until things chill down a bit with Thai Immigration chaps...

Give your money to another country in the world that is more hospitable on arrival....

Or, you could do what a normal person does and actully follow the rules, which it sounds like the OP has done.

Other people dont or cant or bend them thats life. A lot on here all say the same "i have to stay within the Law and rules so everyone should" Life im afraid is not quite so black and white.

If your going to break the rules, then you shouldn't come here crying that they need to stay in Thailand and cant stay away for a year..

I'm not exactly understanding what part of it your not getting.

It's akin to someone robbing a bank, then complaining that they don't want to go to jail. If they didnt want to go to jail then the simple answer is abide by the rules.

And sorry to say but it really is Black and white when it comes to the law. Either follow the law or face repercussions.

I could see there may be a few good overpowering reasons to overstay. None of us know whats around the corner in life. We all have plans for this that and the other. But the best laid plans can often melt away when a crisis happens. All who would overstay would know the consequences of there actions. I know one thing if i was to overstay the last thing i would do is post about it on here. Maybev3 to 4 posts offering help and the rest offering nothing.

For me, I would agree if it was a week or so - but seven months is taking the mickey.

Why if I have to abide by the rules shouldn't the OP, he took the risks and is now going to have to pay the price.

Name one good reason a person might overstay for 7 months and should be excused for it?

The lack of common-sense here is astounding.  If the doors lock shut and one presumably would not use the elevator, kindly tell me how the firemen gain access to the floors?

Yeah,  I'll wait for the sage information we all know isn't here.

Instead of waiting, why don't you use your eyes and actually read the thread. It's been answered a few times already.

It appears the were asking for a lot more than fine for your overstay would of been at 500 baht a day.

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong here - but if OP got hit up for 10,000 baht whilst in detention, then going by the fact he was an overstay from the 14th of feb till the 2nd of march, thats 16 days overstay, with an additional 200 bhat a day in detention for 9 days = 9800 Baht.

So it seems as a poster above wrote, OP refused to pay a legitimate fine for overstay, so has now had an increased penalty imposed on him of a banning him from entry for life (and if I am correct, rightly so!).

  7. I've always also dealt with Cm officers, and had a pleasant experience.. I simply smile, be polite, never argue and always thank them for their time. Not one have I had a problem.

From all the complaints I read on here, its almost like so many of the posters actually go out of their way to make it as bad of an experience as possible so they have something to complain about afterwoods.

I would try this too. Perhaps using a remote crossing.

So your suggesting she fix up her illegal activity, by breaking the rules again with even more serious consequences?? What could possibly go wrong (slaps forehead at the amount of stupid and potentially dangerous advice in here).

  9. Actually had this happen at swamp immigration a few weeks back (didnt happen to me, but I was witness to it).

The lines were massive, and we were all waiting patiently for our turn to me prcessed, when a family of Chinese consult ignored the Q and walked straight to the front (2 adults, grandparent and a child) of the Q, the ppl they jumped infront of right asked them what the F they thought they were doing, and a massive argument broke out. The chinese ppl were going nuts, saying they have been waiting a long time, and they deserved to go thru first. I was absolutely pissing myself in laughter.

Security ended up been called, and the chinese ppl were asked to go to the back of the line, which they rufused to do. It actually then got pretty seriouse and the two adults ended up been frog marched off (rest of the family in tow). Everyone have a bit of a cheer, and tbh, I have no idea what happened after that, but they werent back in line by the time I went through.

To expand on this thought a bit more. How many of us have heard Thais tell us to "go home farang"? Many really do despise (are jealous of) us just a bit behind the Thai smile.

Tbh, I have not heard it said once.

i hope to meet JVS one day when i smoke at such a place. Let him call the police or walk away without paying...he has to learn where he is right now, must be new to Thailand.

He has the skills of a warrior, some might even call him: A keyboard Warrior Raaaaaaaaah.

In a scenario where i would meet you i would ask the owner to tell you to stop smoking,if he declines i will walk out without paying the bill.

    What a load of hogwash..

We all know you wouldn't do such a thing, and your only making an idiot of yourself by saying you would.

As for other ppl saying that smoking is intolerable and they cant stand it due to how much it ruins a meal, I always find it funny when someone is sitting outside having a drink/meal and smoke, and a non smoker then doesnt seem to have the same problems when they then choose to come have there meal/drink outside next to the smokers table.

The anti smoking brigade just loves to throw a whole heap of hyperbole around, acting as though you have killed 100 kittens and ran a child down when you dare light up in an open dinning area.

they ask me provide 2 Decrements.

    1. Old Passport .

    2. Bank Statement of 1 year.

I submit my Old passport and Bank whole passbook.

As this days in India there is no chance to get bank statement due to change currency Bank is busy.

But my Bank Passbook is Update .

You might have got a voided Visa due to the fact you didnt hand in the necessary documents. Just because a bank is busy, doesn't mean that you don't have to get them that particular document.

I'd maybe try again, but this time following the requirements as per stated.
