Well. that was SH!TE.
And again the fans have paid alot of money to watch a dismal performance. I never expected more than a couple of points from the group but that was fkin embarrassing. I hope the players & Gio get their fkin fingers out and get stuck right in for the remainder, the fans deserve that at least. NFS.

UPDATE
Just got back last night with a new 90 day Non Imm O.
All went smoothly with just a couple of minor unexpected requests.
Getting there = We parked up in the large covered car park at the bridge (250 THB per night) then went through Immigration and caught the coach (50 THB per person, coaches every hour and a half or so.) Bit of a scrum getting on the coach with loads of cargo piled up on back seats and our seat had a large packed item making it a squeeze. We could have got a hired car at the wee souvenir shop next to the big car park, we decided against it thinking it was not good value (3500 THB) to just take us to our hotel in Savannakhet. But we met a fellow Brit in Lins Cafe (recommended) and he said he does use that same firm and the deal is - they take you through the immi (doing some of the paperwork) and deliver you to the Thai consulate to drop off application then take you to your hotel, then collect you next day - take you to consulate to collect visa then back to the Thai side (i don't know if all that is true but i believe this guy is legit, worth checking this "taxi" firm out to take a fair bit of hassle out of the equation if we need to go back in future). Best to get a number of a tuk tuk driver for getting around town if like us, people get digs a bit out of the centre of town. We used a food delivery called "Foodpanda" which was good - GoTeddy is another option. You will need access to a Laos mobile number for foodpanda (our landlady @ Thongkan Mansion helped us out there).
Visa application went as hoped except we were asked to get a copy of the Khor Ror 22 (the wife chatted with the guy and i think he asked for that because she mentioned it), the Thai consular staff do seem to have a reputation for being very helpful. I've attached a photo of the opening times for the Consulate - We didn't know that applications were only between 0900 - 1100 and collections from 1400 - 1600 next day (we missed it on our day of arrival but did book the digs for a couple of days just in case.
Coming back - Landlady was great, took us to collect visa then to the bridge to get the coach (taxi options there as well but we stuck with the coach). All went well but i was asked to provide C-19 vaccine evidence (which we had anyway because we expected the Laos Immi to ask for it), i didn't expect the Thai Immi to ask for that (maybe it's because i was wandering around with my mask pulled down and not being as diligent as the locals. Would they have asked for it if i was masked up ? who knows.
All the costs for Visas and transportation were as expected.
Good luck.

You will clear departure immigration at the bridge.
After that you would take the bus (they sell the tickets before immigration) to the Lao side of the bridge and clear Lao immigration. You will need a Lao visa on arrival that costs $40 before clearing Lao immigration.
You can also apply for a visa for Laos online. https://laoevisa.gov.la/index
Awesome, many thanks as always. (just for any others interested, the online E-Visa for Laos must be done minimum 5 days in advance of travel, we ran out of time for that so it has to be visa on arrival for us)
All the best.

Just a wee bit of advice if you could please.
Wife & I are "planning" to Exit Thailand at Mukdahan to Savannakhet then re-enter @ Mukdahan a couple of days later if all is well with the Non O Visa application at tha Thai consulate. I think we have all the documentation in order but as i've never exited Thailand only to re-enter soon after (and also never by a land border) i just wanted to get the stages clear in my new boy brain;
We drive to the overnight car park at the bridge, then i have to get an EXIT stamped in my passport ? would that be at the bridge passport control or 300 metres away @the Thai Immigration office ? then what are our oprtions for crossing the bridge, Tuk Tuk,Private hire cabs or could we get a coach ticket at the bridge ?
and then i presume we just do the revers order coming back.
Cheers in advance

They were liquidated 2012 "Rangers Dead", headlines all over the front pages of the Newspapers. Came back as a new club called The Rangers starting from the lowest tier in the Scottish league to make their way back to the Scottish Premiership. Took 2 seasons in the second tier to get back up.
2012 Glasgow Rangers liquidated. Everyone knows it except their own supporters.
Bought players with money they never had, used EBTs "won" 9 in a row by cheating which eventually led to their liquidation.
Now officially known as The Rangers. ???? ????

RIP Goalie. This guy was my idol as a keeper. One of the best to ever represent my club. Its a sad day. ????
Sad news indeed. He was a good Bluenose and played a crucial part in a great era for The Rangers. Rest in Peace Andy, thoughts with his loved ones.

I do not think there is any obligation to keep the money other than the 1 month waiting time for the stamp.
Thanks again.

As others have said you need to maintain at least 400k and the full 800k for 5 months of the year so you can't touch it. If it falls 1 baht below 800k bye bye visa.
Cheers for the reply Henryford. How would immigration know about that, would it be on the next application to extend or are bank statements required for the 90 day reports ?

As far as the retirement extension, based on money on deposit is concerned, you need 800k seasoned for 2 months on application, and the money must remain untouched for 3 months after, then 400k can be withdrawn, but you would have to bring it back up to 800 k to 'season' it for a subsequent renewal. (Hence 3/7/2 months, 800/400/800k baht) All this presumes a Non-Imm-O based Permission, an O-A one also has a medical insurance requirement,
As to Visas, ie O-A, money can be in your own country, O-X, you have to deposit 3 million THB in Thailand, which I believe you cannot touch for a year....and only half of it in year 2.
Cheers for the reply Jacko45k, i should have said that my application is likely to be the extension based on marriage so does that more or less translate as 3/7/2 months at 400/200/400 ?

Many of us are required to maintain 800000 baht or 400000 baht in a Thai bank for an extension of stay. Wouldn’t that suffice for a insurance requirement?
18 hours ago, Henryford said:I doubt it as if you spend any of the 800/400 you would lose your visa.
17 hours ago, jacko45k said:That money has been stated as required to live off during the term of the extension (yes I know, despite them not letting you withdraw it)
Is this for real ? that the money required for these 2 types of visa cannot be withdrawn without invalidating the visa. I thought the whole point of those funds were for living expenses. Would be grateful for confirmation.
Cheers
Jock.
