  1. the retired teacher was very foolish, no insurance and drunk so no cover anyway, so the daughter should sell her assetts property etc and or get a bank loan or from friends get the old man back to australia and then chase him up for the money when he is better. or go to a prominant foreigner web site that sources their news from news sites( do they pay) obviously makes a lot of money from advertising ( who owns the website?) and ask them to assist. just curious do the moderaters get paid or are they volunteers?

  2. It is perhaps understandable that if you were guiding a large group of Chinese, you also might get the urge to abandon them whistling.gif

its just a matter of tactics, that is weather you sprint away from them or go to the toilet put on a dress and wig and leave them high and dry that way. maybe someone else has has a better idea

  3. my chinese friend wanted to reply to the critics on this site " i velly unhappy as der peple on the internet hear sey no good theengs about ass chinese, we never sheet like a berd on the nest or speet on the flour when we have supper in the rostraunt, we always calm perple and no yelling eff pessible too, harmany good for ell cultuures and never mend the badd habbetts of uthers " regards schnable barista and carpetbagger

  4. Been going on for many years these scams by Nigerians. A church leader in a Tongan or Fiji church in Auckland sent all the church money to scammers, believing they needed money to pay off officials to release an box/case containing millions of US$ that their father a village chief left them. Also a lawyer was duped. They offer to transfer the money into your account for you to keep 40% and keep the rest for them when they get their visa.

People who fall for this deserve what they lose.

that church leader should be demoted to toilet stain removal duties

  5. Thought I saw him on Pattaya Beach Road selling new suits (2 shirts and a tie) made to measure in 24hrs

yes i spoted him in a posey of 5 other indians (always hunt in packs) sweet talking a beach girl into a 6 for 1 deal. after that didnt work saw them order 3 dinners at a restaurant for the six of them. they then got booted out of a bar after ordering 3 drinks. hey they are easy to spot thou, they all have a big stamp on their backs says "unwanted entity"

Still no people being put in jail,It is just talk.

The other similar 'scenario' is the footpath vendors all over Bangkok.

The military, police, BTMA officials have cleared them out of various parts of Ramkamhaeng Road several times in the last few months, and of course after a couple of days they return and block the footpath again and large numbers of pedestrians have no choice but to walk on the road, often with little kids and in danger.

Last evening I walked around the corner onto Ram. Road to go to 7/11. There was pandemonium; senior military, senior police and more just picking up whole stalls one after the other and throwing them all on the back of a 10 wheeler.

I speak / understand a lot of Thai, the message was loud and clear, 'who have been told again and again you cannot block the footpath, now you lose everything, next time straight to jail, and we have photos of you all'.

Not surprising lots of abuse and one female thug, perhaps 35 yrs. old, landed numerous heavy punches on a senior policeman. Other police asked around whether anybody knew the woman's relatives, if so call them and tell them to get here quick and take her away. People did turn up a few minutes later and took her away.

One of the staff from my accommodation was also watching and shared that the 'thug lady' had several stalls and was also intimidating the other vendors for protection payments plus a few months back she had tried to intimidate the 7/11 staff to give her cash from the drawer and had deliberately fully blocked the 7/11 door so that customers could not enter.

good job by the police and army have they done the streets around nana? its hell walking there with all the vendor crap on the streets and you have to dodge the other people with no place to pass. thug lady sounds a nasty piece of work.her day has come

  7. you are not safe anywhere

incorrect actually, you are very safe in thailand unless your an expat criminal lier a fraudster blackmailer cheat thief extortioninist money launderer boiler room operative real estate conman loan shark standover merchant paediphile murderer or run businesses here that are not kosha and offer services to defraud your country man. the police did a great job in taking down the russian and he was the author of his own demise. the pattaya police are professional courteous and always try to assist tourists and expats alike.
