Hi
I have a problem, my flight scheduled 25 and my visa expirer 24 and I have 250 km to closest border (and immigration)!
What to do?
Go to the airport 2 hours before your flight, the sweet steward will tell to go to the immigration office inside the airport, and you will pay the rate, and no problem, but don't arrive just 10 minutes before your flight.

This is not April 1st?? who can believe that?
In first it could be better to take care the pharangs from the North, 5 times (5 months) last year to get my 1 year visa which 12-5 = 7 months, + to pay the work permit 5 times... if you don't want to loose your number, and "the cherry on the cake" (french), most of us must go every three months to signe one paper as we did'nt change our address, so, difficult to think that this "dream" will be come a reality!!!

Higher excises on liquors approved
PHANG-NGA: -- The Cabinet resolved today (Tuesday) to slap a higher excise tax on high-alcohol content distilled liquors, while maintaining the excise taxes on other categories of alcoholic drinks including beer and wines.
The higher taxes will take effect immediately.
"The government's focus (in restructuring the alcohol excise tax structure) is to curb alcohol consumption. This change is enough to achieve the goal in slashing consumption and raising tax income," said PM's Office deputy spokesman Chalermchai Mahagitsiri said.
Four types of distilled liquors are subject to the change - special blend, brandy, whisky and others. So far, they had been subjected to a range of 3550 per cent of market price or Bt240 per litre of alcohol content. The new rate is 4050 per cent or Bt400 per litre, whichever is higher.

Anybody can recommend good shops or stores for newborn's stuff in Chiang Mai? The ones that I have seen, such as Tesco-Lotus, don't have enough variety of choices
Thanks a lot!
MO
Hello MO,
A good shop for babies;
In Ratchawong Rd, I don't remember the number in the street. The best to arrive on this place is to pass by Chang Moi Rd starting by the square, then turn left at the stop (only one in this road after the small channel), and about 500 meters, the shop is left side, a big shop, if you don't find it, ask to the peoples in this street, a wellknown company. Many things and good quality, good service, etc...
If you have no car, 09 838 64 60
This is a friend who has a tuc-tuc, and know this place, named Wat.
Good luck,
Michel

www.seaconnection.ws
LINK IMMIGRATION, last rules from October 2006/2549.
Good Luck.
P.S. In these rules, they don't write that you must contact the police every 3 months to confirm your adress, I forgot that, and costed me 2000 Bahts... Thailand...
