Thanks guys for your replies, i tried them all but kept getting rejected by my Nokia

I ended up taking the phones to our local IT shop and they did it for 500 baht, they also said there was a fault on my old Nokia which was the reason it wouldn't allow copying

My friend went to the border yesterday which involved him paying 20k as a fine and after a police check was allowed to leave to go thru into Cambodia. no hassles were reported

Call in to The Camel Pub and ask the cashier for the phone number of our plumber, a guy called Ploi, we have used him for the past 12 years

Also ask her for the phone number of the vacuum truck that we use

The time I lost my passport the local police wrote the report in their daily log book and just gave me a copy of that page. You might check back with your local police for another copy.

Any documentation that your friend has in regards to passport being lost (police report, letter to embassy, etc) would be useful as well.

The police report was sent to Hong Kong with the application for his new passport, a copy was not kept nor was the original returned

I have a friend who lost his passport and is now on 8 months overstay

He was issued a new passport thru Hong Kong in August and now has the funds to leave (approx. 50,000 baht)

Should he go out via Suvarnabhumi Airport or is a Cambodian border run an option from Rayong

I opened an account on line with Citibank in Singapore who provide all that service, I didn't have to leave Thailand either

I always write the re-entry number on the TM card and hold the re-entry stamp page open when I hand my passport to the immigration officer telling him / her that I hold a visa, I have never had an issue

I pay 13,000 baht for a single 12 hr shift, although in BKK or say Pattaya you would probably pay more

If anything is stolen the company will reimburse although in the 5 years I have had a guard I have never had anything stolen

I used to go to Soi 55 and met quite a few girls that held down good jobs, office types, and were just out for a bit of fun

You can fly from Ban Chang (Utapao Airport which is 30-40mins from Rayong)to Koh Samui

Otherwise I only know the long way round thru Bangkok
