  1. Hi, Can you help me to find homes for three beautiful kittens?

I’m in Khon Kaen. They are happy, healthy, socialized, house trained, partially vaccinated. 9 weeks old.

I've got six and I can't manage them all.

    Thank you and kind regards,

    Peter

  2. Is there any age which if you are older it is not possible to get any kind of inpatient hospital insurance? If not, what company is best? I will be 74 years young when I ultimately retire to Thailand.biggrin.png

Thai life you can renew up to 80 for IPD, 70 for OPD but you have to begin the first year up to 65 years, brochure says.

  3. Depends what you like, too many to list..

    1. White Temple in Chang Rai.

    2. Some lovely Beaches in Phuket, plus visit the Big Buddha Phuket, amazing views from there of the island...

    3. Royal Palace In Bangkok, and various other Museums in Bangkok.

Like I said, lots and lots to see and do, just depends what rocks your boat..

White Temple in Chaing Rai was badly effected by the earthquake in May. No one allowed in now. Add Doi Inthonon to list.

It was open 17 July. Some external building/s gone, temple slight damage. take sunglasses! even on an average day it is dazzling.

  4. Looking for accommodation in Nakhon Pathom some years ago while still fairly new to Thailand I was introduced to this practice. Looking at a place not really suitable, way too much unusable space and way, way too expensive, my Thai friends were told that the price was very high because they had to increase it as the place had been empty for a very long time, and therefore they had lost lots of money.

  5. Re requests for recommends for dental treatment in Bangkok.

Over the course of a few years I’ve had a variety of treatments at Phaya Thai 1 hospital on Sri Ayudhaya rd. It’s a short walk from the Phaya Thai BTS.

I really, really wish I’d discovered this place long before I did, and would therefore have saved meself a lot of (self-induced) damage. The charges are very reasonable, I think. I too have the common fear of dentists, reinforced by a bad experience as a very young child, but I’ve had had a lot of very good experiences here and I’m very confident in their services and skills and have never been encouraged to have any unnecessary work done, quite the opposite in fact.

They don’t seem to have many foreigners when I visit, now six monthly , and that may be a positive factor, perhaps they want to encourage more, but from the reception staff (charming, professional) to the variety of dentists I’ve seen (I have a regular Orthodontist but depends on my needs) I’m continually really impressed. This could be one of the lowest on your list (I’m particularly thinking of you not seen a dentist in 25 years poster!) but needs doing and cost effective things to do in Bangkok.

As a result of this professional and friendly team (I could name names but it’s not necessary) I finally learned to brush better (after a life time of manic brushing and gums destroying) floss regularly (and I’m really lazy) and even revisited that childhood memory and corrected the mental tape, that unknown dentist did the right thing and finding an abscess, sent me straight to hospital, so the memory was really of going to a dentist and waking up post op in a hospital. Hope this helps, without pushing up the waiting times and charges!
