  1. Don't listen to the bald guys on here! They are probably fat and unattractive anyway, so it would take more than hair to make a difference. They also probably can't afford it too!

Get it done, men look much better and younger with hair, plus it protects your scalp from the sun.

  2. Serious question. Does it have to be Asia?

I spend a lot of time in Portugal and it will tick a lot of your boxes. You can also get a 5 year residency certificate too which could come in handy long term once Brexit has kicked off.

Of course the female opportunities are 0.1% compared to Asia. The locals are not the prettiest! It also has a winter.

SR would be a good bet. Yes there is a bit of hustle and bustle in the centre but I find people there way friendlier than Thais and they speak better English.

Da Nang would be a good bet too. Hoi An is totally overrun by Chinese tourists now. Unfortunately much of SE Asia is going that way. I try and avoid places where Chinese tourists can visit visa free but their options are widening. Luckily they tend not to go off the beaten track too much with their herd mentality.

  3. Talking of Chinese. #1 reason why I might leave this region.

I have been looking at countries that have strict visas for Chinese as somewhere to go.

It's only going to get worse here with 1.4 billion of them looking south!

Very romantic sounding "digital nomads " they should be called " Digital Parasites"

Swanning into cafe's and restaurants assuming it is their right to occupy the largest

tables required for all their paraphernalia, ordering a coffee or water and sitting for

hours making money on line at the expense of the owner who supplies them with

a free air-conditioned office and when approached to move on write bad reviews

in retaliation, digital nomads my rear end parasites nothing more.

When they start paying their way i will cut them some slack.

I'd imagine people would spend more if coffee shop owners were not so greedy. Thai students are worse.

  5. No other countries do and I would n't blame them for working wherever they want, assuming they are in the country legally of course and not overstaying.

If someone on a two week vacation is checking their work email then should we expel them too?

What about somebody who blogs about their travels for their friends and family and then writes a book?

Where do you draw the line?

The onus is on governments to come up with proper visas for e-workers.

  6. I can afford to live it up here, have a very nice big benefit cheque from the Aussie govt each month as I can no longer work. I also receive rent from my North Sydney house that will mean I'll never have to work again even if the govt cheques stop.

I could even afford to live back in Aussie but prefer the women in Asia and no I have never had to pay for them.

  7. Canarysun

I wonder where you are going to head to when Thailand becomes too expensive for you like Spain did? (and it will)

Guess your options are fast running out, suppose you'll be living in some remote jungle and once you have annoyed everyone there (incl the monkeys) then you'll be sleeping on the streets in your home country begging for food.

Sad, very sad. Enjoy your pot noodle and porn tonight, have one for me ;) lol
