Don't overstay get an Ed visa and be legal. There are adverts on here for Ed visa'a check them out. I don't know the hours.

I have an okay income from outside thailand, i hope my job will be on the golf course, don't really want to go to school, i'm just looking for my easiest option without getting married, is investing in a small business enough.

I overstayed for nearly 1 years and luckily paid my fine to a friendly policeman at osmach border.. He will take overstay money everyday lol

Sure, this is an option, many guys are happily married to Thai ladies. Another option is the ED visa, Walen school is promoting it for years and years now and we have a few thousand very happy studnets. It really works, you learn Thai and we provide you all the visa support you need.

Getting married just for the visa may not be the best idea. What if you are not together later , you may need to get divorced. What if you really want to marry another woman in the future? She may not like the fact that you were already married.

If you do not truly love the woman you marry then you are making a serious mistake if you do it just for the visa.

I suppose this might depend on whereabouts in Isaan you are - it is a big place. I enjoyed living in my wifes village which was about 45 mins from Nong Khai along the river but the chances of our daughter getting a half decent education there were pretty remote.

We moved to Pattaya last year as it gives us far more access to quality schools - it was a toss up between Chiang Mai and Pattaya but settled on Pattaya because of the beaches (my excuse and i am sticking to it!)
