You will pay 500 baht or $10 for a border pass to enter Myanmar.

You only need to be out of the country long enough to enter another country then turnaround and come back.

  2. HI, Thanks for taking the time to send Me the info and links . I appreciate it .

Lopburi is the assigned office for Chainat province.

    Lopburi Immigration Office

    Immigration Office
    Amphoe Muang
    Lopburi 15000 ด่านตรวจคนเข้าเมือง

    Phone: 0-3642-2909, 0-3642-4686

Source: Address and Google Map location of immigration offices

You will need a completed TM7 form with one attached 4cm X 6cm photo Download and print 2 sided. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm7.pdf

Your wife will need to go with you when you apply for the 60 day extension. You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book and ID card. Copies of you passport photo page, visa, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card.

You will need proof of residence unless you are living where your wife's house book is for.

If you have had the 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months you could also apply for a one year extension of stay.

  3. HI,

60 Day extension , Where do I need to go to do the 60 day extension ? Could it possibly be done at local Immigration office in Nakon Sawan . Our home is in Monorom , Chai Nat province . I guess the only sure way would be to go down there and ask . The required form I would need to file for the extension is there somewhere I can open it ,review and see what all ( Docs - Pics etc ) I will need to bring with Me . As for the bank account with the 400k, I just keep the money in it year round.

Thanks to all for the Help

If you have a multiple entry non-o visa you have to leave the country every 90 days. But you could apply for a 60 day extension of your 90 day entry to visit your wife that would make it 5 months between border runs.

The 90 day reports are for staying longer than 90 days in the country.

You could apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage during the last 30 days of any of the 90 entries the visa allows. You will need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income.

  4. HI,

I am currently living and work in Singapore for last 7+ years. I currently have a valid multi entry visa non im Type O based on Marriage . We will be moving back home to Chai Nat (Monorom) province at the end of April 2015 . My latest visa was issued in Singapore in Feb 2015.

Can I go to Nakon Sawan to do My 90 day reporting or will I need to leave Thailand and come back in ? Any information is appreciated .

    Thank You

    Chuck

  5. HI LivinLOS !

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT .I have sent You a PM .

I am thinking of using one of the Name Brand Carriers Fedex / UPS . Fedex has delivered NEW PARTS to me before and They (Fedex)called Me once the parts arrived and said I needed to Pay X amount of Money for Taxes.

I need to get this sorted before I ship the frame as I won't be there when it arrives . I plan on sending it to Friend or Family in BKK.

    Thanks

    RCP

It will depend on where into Thailand surely.. I used an agent on Phuket over an engine and am so glad I did.. They 'pre negotiated' the fees and then once here the LTO was not happy with the paperwork.. This agent managed to go back and track down the customs agent who initially did the import and get them to correct the mistakes.

Without her that could have ended up a real costly mess.

  6. IMPORTING USED MOTORCYCLE FRAME

Can anyone provide a shipping / customs agent who can take care of getting a used Motorcycle Frame into Thailand ?

    thanks

    HI,

Thanks for replying ! Were the wheels You had sent in New ? If You sent them from the USA what shipping company / customs service did You use ? This is the type of Information I am Looking for.

I have No Problem Paying Thai Customs their Taxes (35/45%). The Frame I bought it off of EBay in the USA and Paid for it with PayPal.

I have all of the receipts from Paypal,EBAY And the Place where I bought it from .

    Again Thanks

    RCP

Yes, you can import it without to much hassle, but do you need it quickly. Import duty is paid including the freight charges, therefore big things like a frame is maybe better to send by regular freight (sea-freight). I imported a set of carbon wheels for my motorcycle and I can remember it was a huge difference on import tax between seafreight and airfreight.

With a motorcycle frame make sure that the frame number is noted on ever single paper you get from the customs office. You need this if you want to register the motorcycle you want to build with the frame.

Can anyone provide a shipping customs agent who can take care of getting the Frame into Thailand.

  9. Hi

It is NOT the same stamp you get every year, it have to be a special tax stamp, i will get the real one tomorrow or Monday and show it here.

LOS i think what you see in the one i posted it has to be that line, not 100% but will find out. most books have stamp on page 18 BUT it has to be the right stamp.

HD You get Your correct Stamp and Did You Post it ?

    Thanks

  10. The big bikes in LOS which dont need tax info on page 18 seem to have a code in page 4, the bike info page

Of course they have a code somewhere in the book.Otherwise every car or bike bought in thailand should need tax info on page 18.Have you ever seen any new car bought at an official dealership in thailand having tax info printed on page 18?However those imported toyota hybrids you can buy in bangkok will all have that info printed.

Don't get it why that is so difficult to understand.

    HI ALL,

I have problems with a New Bike (Yamaha) I Just Bought about 5 months ago. The Bike was bought new in US was imported and Registered By Dealer I bought it from.

Has anyone here used a lawyer who specilizes in Customs / DMV to sort out his Bike Registration Issues ? Can I get His contact details.

    Thanks

    RCP

  11. A bike being registered in a different changwat is not really a problem..

But it does beg the question WHY is it not registered in the home province ??

Firstly the book should be checked over.. The make model must be correct, then also the age of the bike in the book must be the age that this exact model is, any discrepancy is clearly showing the bike could not be the same as the book.

Also then engine and frame numbers must be checked and exact.. Then the stamps must be straight and correct, I have seen some utter bodges.. Run your hand over the frame area to see that its truly round and doesnt have a flat spot where previous numbers were filed down.

Then look back through the book.. Make sure it didnt change color and engine number at the same time at any point in its history.. A give away that the frame number was shifted to a donor bike.

If bike make model age and numbers all match the book then theres not much the government can say, its in the computer, its numbers match, and it cannot be told apart from a legit one.

On Phuket they are also refusing transfers if the page 18 tax information is not in there. This is a total fuc_k up as the law applied to bikes aged between 2542 and after (IIRC its in some thread I posted) so from 98 onwards, however Phukets DMV illegally apply this rule to ANY bike missing page 18 information and simply say go speak to customs.. Customs again lie and demand money for any age machine, even with a smart lawyer who got many bikes released without payment, they refuse to write 'clearance letters' which the DMV insists on to transfer. Basically they are simply trying to extort money by exploiting peoples ignorance.. Also fact is this information was considered irrelevant and many DMV's simply didnt bother to move it over when they made new books. This is not enforced in any other province I know of but it s major hassle here.

Also Phukets DMV are not transferring bikes that are 'non standard' even down to aftermarket indicators or light clusters.. Just being total dicks about big bike transfers. Again this is here only to my knowledge.

    Hi

Where do You go to get a Green Book translated to English. I want to have all of it translated into English Not just the Page with the Year and serial numbers.

  12. HI can someone post the contact details to this Yamaha dealer

    Thanks

    RCP

Trent and myself had a great day at Yamaha dealer in Bangkok, great bikes, great service.

Are you talking about the one on Ratchada? Went there and was also impressed with their service, especially with their mechanics who seem to be totally addicted to bikes. Wonderful!

  14. Only reason it took 2 days, was it was the first time I have driven a tractor with grass cutter and was probably being more careful around the trees than I needed to be. Also doing some major modifications to the house there and had to go answer several questions from my better half on various issues arising from this. Apart from the age and the fact that I was a little worried about the mechanical side, thought the tractor was great, if rough on the back and arms over the rough ground. I could see that with a few cuts made the ground would smooth out a little and make driving it a little easier.

    Morning All,

HUSKY Dealers in Bangkok and Chang Mai, they have several different Model and Types of Riding Mowers. They also have large rear wheel push type.
