  1. Felt sorry for the Japanese to have taken his own life…….RIP

As for that Thai lady……..what come around will come back around to her……it is call Karma.

if anybody agree, or i might be wrong…….why do most of us guys (most of us in a way or another) alway get rip off by local gals…….

is there to do with pity, sympathy, felt sorry for them working in the bar selling their own body and trying to help them ?

it is their own choice to choose to work in these place and make easy money…...

it is a self made trap if we are not careful……a deep money pit…….

When all the money is gone, so are them…….moving on…….we do not get pity in return…...

  2. you dont need to rewire all , just add an extra grounding cable in all pipes to sockets.

And ofcourse change all the sockets.

you can as well use an earth leakage detector, then you dont have to change a thing in the pipes and sockets.

You put it in the fuse box in the mainpower supply.

It will switch off with an earth leakage of 30 ma.

To do this please confirm the pipe in which are to be use as grounding is made of metal tubing and have continuity. PVC pipe will not work.

    hope this help.

  3. In Thailand, most of the house circuit box have got no earth leakage breaker appliance install.

i guess it is for safety and old habit.

also power sometime surge to 250 VAC spiking appliances ir drop to 200 VAC

i think their thought is better be safe than sorry and will sleep better

  4. If it is only 2 pin meaning there is no ground.

(2 pin = 1 is live or 230V and the other is Neutral)

If you need ground, have to install the 3rd ground wire and change out all the outlets from 2 pin outlets to 3 pin outlets

all the ground wire from the 3rd pin will be route to the breaker box and tie in together inside (grounding bar) then a jumper cable to ground rod 32 inches into ground

Best way is install a 50 Amp incoming power main breaker follow by 32 Amp. with 30 mA earth leak circuit breaker then individual 10 amp circuit breaker.

If in doubt, please goggle it.

    hope this help.

  5. i did try to open a account with UOB Phuket last year, i was holding tourist visa then...

i had a yacht stored in Phuket and often come here most of the weekend with friends (even i already moved out of this island to Singapore…..)

when i walked into UOB in Phuket town, i asked if i could open a saving account. The bank manager request my passport and work permit

i told them i am on holiday here and my visa is a tourist visa. i was instantly rejected. She politely explain to me the banking rules in Thailand

i was quite disappointed, i really believed her …..now that i have read this forum, i guess some bank will let you and some will not.

i will try a few difference banks next time i come up here

    Thanks

  6. bernd1616, whatever it is…..

only changes i see during my 3 weeks short stay in Patong was

no more table and chairs outside along blangla walk way. all is within it's premise

no more beach shade and chair for rent on the beach.

ladies and ladies boys still standing along walking street offering themselves

bar and disco still operate until 03:30 am in the morning and some later

tourist police / police still patrolling the street of bangla with a big smile

Tuk Tuk is back on their so called taxi premise

some motor bike are allow through the walking street

    all fading away…………...

  7. Ha……same as in Phuket, Patong

a stretch of road about 5 km length that take 3 years to build and still yet to be complete.

i often fly into Thailand, Phuket during week end. since 2011 and also this road was being build then and now 2014 is still ongoing

it is all muddy with deep pit holes when it rain, the surface layer tar is only barely an inches thick and erode away quickly

road build this way is not going to last long……..

local called it buffalo track, that is not a good impression for tourist at front of Jung Ceylon shopping mall…...

  8. All nationality tourist here visiting Thailand have their own spending budget.

Thailand is a tourist destination country that welcome all…….

Why do some people complain about the chinese not spending much when visiting Thailand ?

nowadays, most of the thing we see is made in china anyway and i notice they like to buy local fruits, durian etc...

i also notice most of them only shop in "Big C" or "Louts" supermarket to escape the DUEL pricing.

Remember, Thailand is and always will be for Thai. We are just visitor here on long stay or short visit. coffee1.gifcoffee1.gifcoffee1.gif
