Can someone suggest where I could get a sit-up bench in BKK? I visited SuperSports at Central Chidlom and was surprised that they don't carry any.

yup, there's a Villa in the Nichada Thani complex where ISB is located.

Jasmine at Times Square is run by the same people who ran Jasmine at Gaysorn.

As for Grand China, the dim sum there is quite good - though you have to get there very early for Saturdays (it's usually full even before 11:30am). Might want to try Ah-Yat at Mae Nam Hotel (on Charoenkrung Rd) - its cantonese style and has great roast duck and bbq pork (also 50% dim sum on weekdays - Saturday).

Another decent place that is not too pricey is Silver Palace next to BBL HQ on Silom.

Membership at Fitness First Landmark (Bt2,140/month incl VAT) is more expensive than other locations (I think Bt1,800 or less) since it is what they call "Gold Passport" which can be use at any other Fitness First locations. In addition, you get towels at the Landmark whereas for other locations you need to bring your own towels.

Heard from a couple of friends who has recently traveled to the US that they had their luggage/bag locks pry opened.... is it now policy or recommended not to place locks on luggages and bags? Does this apply only to the US or elsewhere too?
