As there's a lot of flu about at the moment, this type of conversation is quite common. The above example (right or not?) is how I would say it.
I'm interested to see how many other ways there are to ask the same question and answer in Common speech. Any offers?
Yes quite ok but normally we don't use much สร่างไข้ I mean not common.. We usually say " เป็นไข้หายรึยัง or ค่อยยังชั่วรึยัง R U getting better ?

My research about "Nana Entertainment Plaza" has reached a new level. What is the meaning of "Nana"? Does anybody know?
Well nana if you say twice means " various " so problably can be a various entertainment things offer you. But mostly we use nana as formal term or for writing. For example "rong rian nana chat " means international school ( a various or diffirent of contries that people come from. )
" chat " means pra-theet ( country , nationality )
But if " na " or " thung na " means farm rice.

" som nam naa " : normally quite impolite way to say it ( Negative )
" som khuan " : you deserve it can be a good way and bad way , it depends on situation

โลภ , ละโลบ = greed ,avarice . Mostly we use โลภ for things or greedy from the other people.
ตะกละ for things and possessions.ตะกละ we normally use for food.

There was no poetry reading on the exam last year. I doubt you will be required to read poetry this year either.Did U remember all test on last exam ? What 's all about ? What was the topic ? Would be nice if U can give me all of that then give me an idea what I should focus on..

Sorry to hear that . Try P & A language center at Silom which I'm studying for Grade 6 now. , small office but there 're good. I never have a prob. with schedule they are quite flexible. 081-485-1370 or off. no. 02-652-3037.

There is a possibility you could get asked to read a rhyme yes, so worth working on. It is mainly made up of a dictation piece and essay, which you get three subjects to chose from, a multiple choice exercise and a read aloud section to test your understanding of pronounciation, this last piece is followed by a short chat with the examiner.
All Right ! Thanks alot. I will work on it now. I studied reading poem yesterday with my teacher. I feel more confident though but reading poem bloody hard I tell U..Anyhow if you guys got any news for test please let me know. I'm really dedicate on ป. 6 .

All information about the examination, together with the relevant application forms, is available on the Bureau of Education Testing website: http://bet.obec.go.th. The information on this website breaks down the test into its component parts, and explains what each part is about.
You may also wish to do a search in this forum. I and others have posted in detail about our experience with the test.

Hey Bob !. Thank for yr helping with website. I'm study at Silom now P&A language Center and my teacher giving me a dictation , reading and doing alot of exercise. She also told me that I have to read rhym. Do they have to read this when U take an exam as well ? Gosh ! Ii's hard !!!!!!!!

The Pratom 6 (6th Grade) test is offered once a year in December. Registration is open for the exam this year in the first week of October, 2-6. Many of the Thai Language schools offer exam preparation courses and will also assist you to register for the exam. Alternatively, you can apply at the Ministry of Education.
I took the preparation course and the exam last year through Piammitr Language School. The link to their website is below.

Today I was in Tsutaya, struggling to make myself understood when a Thai woman asked me if I wanted Thai lessons, I've been thinking about it anyway so I said yes. 500bt for 2 hours 121, ok or what? I don't know if I have to pay 10 lessons or something upfront, I'll find out the lowdown on Thursday. If i don't get a trial lesson then I won't pay too much upfront, I don't want to be tied if she's no good.
Let's try P&A Language center @ Silom if you ok on that area but very convenience though, They are very close to Saladeang BTS. and you can even have a trial lesson.

I wanted to know Thai language school just for reading and writing
either near silom/siam area or near Ramkhamheng/bangkapi area?
How about AUA school? is it good? I prefer larger school, not those
smaller place in sukhumvit or advertised in Bkkpost.

Try to check @ P&A Language Center at Silom . they have 30 hrs = 9,000 bht. or trial lesson. School is not big, but i can't see the prob. with that !
