You could contact them about it.
The best place to get the non-ed visa is in Vientiane Laos. http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/upload/pdf/Visa/Non- ED & O.pdf
Fair enough, thanks mate.

Not sure about applying Manila. Requirements can found here.

The embassy in KL has a police clearance requirement on their checklist for ED visas.
You also have to make an appointment to do the application now. https://linistry.com/Customer/ServiceMenu?branchId=127&parentId=1383
Damnit man. They always have something new. Not that I am wanted in any way (????) but is this police clearance strictly requested?

Do you have the necessary paperwork provided by a school/university?
Yes I do.

A question for the esteemed gentlemen on this board,
due to unique circumstances I will be in Manila and in Kuala Lumpur next month. I was wondering which city, Manila or Kuala Lumpur, is easier to apply for a Thai ED Visa? Of course, the less hassle, the better.
I heard Manila doesn't accept ED visa applications from foreigners and is only serving Filipinos, but that is just the grapevine and we all know the worth of such information ????

Hello folks,
I have a non-B, multiple entry with work permit from a company in Bkk. Visa/work permit both end about Christmas time. I do not intend to work in Thailand again, but plan on returning to Thailand - after an extended holiday - on an ED visa.
Wondering if I should really go through the hassle of canceling the WP? Am I going to run into any trouble for not canceling the WP when applying for an ED visa at a Thai consulate abroad?
Cheers
K.

I have a question regarding the TE Visa.
I asked immigration about this visa, actually, when I made my 90-day report last month, and they said that foreigners that want to get this type of visa now also have to prove that they have comprehensive health insurance (IPD + OPD)...which runs at about 50k/year.
Is this really being enforced right now? To the farangs who have this visa, have you been asked to provide documentation?

It seems to be me that the people who actually have the Thai Elite Visa evaluate the program much more positively than those who don't have the visa. That alone says a lot.
In any case, though, I would like to ask if the current Thai Elite Visa holders are comfortable with their visa and their decision to go for the premium solution given the current political climate. Please be so kind and only reply if you actually have the visa stamped in YOUR passport.
Secondly, I'd like to know if there is a Thai Elite office in Pattaya that I can visit.

The 90-day reports are still required. Depending on where you live, Thailand Elite may be able to do the reports for you.
The extension is once annually, only necessary if you do not travel abroad at any time in the previous 12 months, and (again) depending on your location, Thailand Elite may be able to assist.
Thanks for clarifying.

Just to be very clear here: One does only have to apply for the 'extension of stay' 1x in a year for 1,900 THB. Is that correct?
Can't begin to tell you how tired I am of having to do the 90 day reporting at Immigration...

Visas are never cancelled.
If you have a single entry visa just leave .
If you have an extension of stay (not a visa) you may have to cancel at the immigration office which issued the extension.
This is clearly false information. Quite a few people with ED Visas have been turned away from the Nong-Khai border because they didn't have their visas canceled.

As the topic suggests, I will be heading to Mukdahan soon and need to cancel my ED Visa. The school gave me the required cancelation letter.
I was wondering if anyone had already canceled their ED Visa at Mukdahan before crossing into Laos, and could report back how it went.

Honda provides safety riding course in BKK. I ve been to their course to test ride some models two weeks ago. They have all protection equipment and professional instructors. I strongly recommend you to go there. They even provide motorcycle license. They also provide big bike safety riding course. I attached the picture of information. You can search on youtube for some video captured there. Cheers.

Thank you, that's great. Will do it in addition to the 1:1 motorcycle training. Cheers!

Thanks @all for the offers. I found someone who actually teaches Motocross driving and that's the guy I am gonna go with.

It is my understanding that the schools you refer to are conducting only group lessons in Thai language...

Hi there,
I want to (properly) learn how to ride a motorcycle with a clutch, such as a KLX 150 or 250.
Thai motorcycle driving schools, unfortunately, are literally nonexisting, which is kind of strange in its own right considering that there are probably more motorcycles in Thailand than people. And even if such a school existed, I would need someone to speak solid English. I am definitely not going out into traffic without a reasonable understanding of what I am doing. Pattaya is not the place for road experiments
Anyways, I was just wondering if someone in Pattaya can spare 1-2 hours to teach me the basics of motorcycle riding (shifting, balancing, maneuvering) in a kind of remote location and maybe give some advice on what to look out for and what bike to buy. I don't expect it to be free. If you think you can help a rookie out here, get in touch:
Cheers

Hi ????
I was wondering if there are folks around here who invested some money in the Thai stock market, either dividend-paying stocks or low cost ETFs.
Does anyone have a recommendation what bank/app to use?
