There must have been two similar, green towels on the crime scene, one of them thrown over Hannah's face, and the other in a bundle on a rock close to the water and the body of Dave.

If not, then the people who first arrived at the crime scene and started snapping away, must have been busy carrying one (possibly contaminated) green towel all over the crime scene, which sounds totally weird.

I guess you can refuse to give police a DNA swab sample in Thailand? Unless you are Burmese, in which case you don't have any human rights.

If suspect refuses, then I guess a court order is needed also in Thailand?

So did I get it correctly now. BiB took DNA swabs from all Burmese workers on the island, including the women. But they didn't swab the main suspects, including the son hiding in Bangkok?

Why would they test him when he claims he has been in bangkok all the time? Also have witnesses that can back up his story and also claims CCTV at his condo building can prove he was there the night the murders happened. And who wouldn't believe him?

All I can surmise from this is that Thailand doesn't deserve a democracy. They've not shed a drop of blood in its pursuit and have no concept of its meaning.

I believe it does exist in many countries. Few if any have a pure democracy though. I live in the States and we have a democracy, but one that is controlled and manipulated by those with the resources to do so. Would a pure democracy, in this world, eventually produce communism? I think it might, when the 'have nots' outnumber the 'haves' and vote according to their desire. I am a capitalist to the bone, one of the 'haves' and able to travel the world, seeing interesting places like Thailand. I don't want the 'have nots' in my democratic country to eventually curtail my success by voting us into communism. The 'haves' in Thailand attempt to 'reset' democracy every so often with a coup, because they haven't mastered the manipulation of it like 'democratic' countries in the 'west'.

Well, I'm a "have not" in socialist, communist Sweden and I'm happily married with a wonderful, supportive wife, 2 great kids, a big house, a summer cottage in the Stockholm archipelago, 2 cars and we travel around the world, at least two trips a year. So what was your question?

Sorry for making people disappointed here, but there will be no arrests in the foreseeable future. If those two sons are guilty as seems to be the case, they will be able to avoid capture for a long time, helped by their many cunning and resourceful relatives.

One possible tactic that can be copied here was used by the former interior minister Chalerm Yubamrung, when his youngest son Duangchalerm killed a police officer in Bangkok back in 2001. The son first got shelter and protection from a Thai general. When that didn't seem to be safe enough, he was squirreled away to Cambodia, and later on to Malaysia.

Then a few months later his daddy had worked out a satisfactory deal with the authorities and could escort his son back to Thailand. The son spent a few months in jail, then was released in 2003 on bail terms, and later on acquitted completely. And this for a murder where he was guilty as hell and the nightclub, where it happened, full of eye witnesses

Time for Thailand to up the ante, get rid of backpackers and other cheap tourists, especially all the charter groups!

Drink responsibly, smile a lot and avoid talking about the royal family. And above all, avoid motorbikes at all costs!

I believe they arranged the murder scene after the heinous crime. In that case, I wouldn't be surprised if the DNA will not match either, but I believe the police is holding back something vital, they have additional evidence.
