Whether it lasts two weeks or two years is irrelevant, the fact is the lazada products are copies and not the same ones sold on Amazon.
Absolutely not fact.
I bought my G1W from Lazada, it is not fake.
One of the key purchasing points is if it uses the NT96650 processor, the fakes do not. Do some research before posting your so called facts, because in this case you are wrong.
The headline of the product description indicates the processor type - if it was fake I would have returned it.
Here is the link again where I bought a real G1W from Ladada http://www.lazada.co.th/morestech-g1w-nt96650-full-hd-black-247101.html
Additionally, the fakes record in 720, the real ones record in 1080 same as mine does.
The fakes usually use AVI files. Mine doesn't, it creates .MOV files in full 1920x1080 resolution at 30 FPS.
Edit to add more ways to tell a fake - http://forum.spytecinc.com/index.php?threads/g1w-real-or-knock-off.24/

Good to hear, but have you at any time during those years checked that the camera is actually still recording?
Those memory cards do have a limited read/write life and in that time the card will have been over written many many times, Good practice to take out the card and play it on your computer occasionally, just to be sure.
A bit embarrassing if after an accident you need to show your cam footage and all you have is a black screen
I check mine about every month.
Yep, check it every so often, and definitely within the last month.

The G1W is a good camera and can be purchased from Lazada - not every re-seller on Lazada is a knock off supplier. I got mine from the following link.
http://www.lazada.co.th/morestech-g1w-nt96650-full-hd-black-247101.html
Purchased in November 2014, has spent its entire life in the car. Still works.

No need, there is a grace period of at least 7 days either side of the report due date.
Your return will reset the counter.

Monday is a public holiday - possibly immigration closed anyway.

I think the OP's point is that there are quite a few leftover drunks from "the night before" driving home and mingling with those on their morning commute or school run. Therefore be extra careful out there.
I've witnessed the same on the roads. There are more obvious drunks on the roads in the first hour of daylight than two or three hours after sunrise. Those that are driving home drunk at that hour, you can be pretty sure they've been on it all night.

Starseeker,
You say your work is coming to an end but not how or why.
Please ensure you know your rights and entitlement. Also good luck with it. The labor ministry is more often on the side of the employee than not.
Thai companies can't just fire you or terminate your employment with out cause such as gross negligence or three written warnings.
You are entitled to 1 months paid notice in most cases anyways.
Additionally the following based upon the duration of employment.
Duration of Employment Rate of Severance
120 days or more but less than 1 year 30 days salary
1 year or more but less than 3 years 90 days salary
3 years or more but less than 6 years 180 days salary
6 years or more but less than 10 years 240 days salary
10 years or more 300 days salary

The labor department is generally on the side of the employee here.

You need to log back into the website and select the check status option, then enter the long reference number they gave on the pending form (case sensitive).
It'll be some thing like TM47-66-2015XXXXXXXXXXXXX once there, you will have the option to print. Its crap but does / did work. (did mine Friday last week)
-
Both of the above require 90 day reports which in my case can be done online now. And, of course you need to renew your work permit each year as well at the labor office.
Point of information for me, since I thought the Thai work permit was always a physical document in the form of a blue colored book. (That's what mine is, but my employer is a BOI company, so I'm not sure it's that way for everyone)
Do you have a blue book/work permit?
Even when we bring in people for short projects, we get them a temporary work permit. But I often run into expats who claim to be working legally, (with assurances from their employer) without actually having a work permit. So I'm confused...
Yes, to clarify, I have a blue work permit (this I extend by a year every year around May)
My extension in my passport is done September each year - simply because my first arrival with the full page stick in Visa from the embassy in Singapore was in September 2005. I begin the extension process about two weeks before the expiry each year and hove been on an extension of stay of the original visa ever since.

I've worked here since 2005, my ""visa" which I got at an embassy in Singapore is in an old expired passport. I have been on extension of stay since. Once a year our company provides a ream of paperwork and I provide a bunch of photos and my tax return and I get 1 months extension for review followed by 11 months. Its been the same for the last ten years. I get a multiple re-entry permit each time as well so I can come an go as I please. I've been here 5 years before without leaving. No border runs, no embassy visits. All 100% legal. Your company must maintain 4 Thai per foreign work permit and you income must exceed the minimum requirements.
You can be on a B visa and you get an annual extension based upon employment. - But if you loose your job, you are technically required to depart the same day or get a 7 day extension at immigration.
You can be on a O visa if married (my case) and extension is based upon that and you provide work permit and tax return to prove legitimacy of income and that it meets the minimum requirements. If you loose your job you can still remain in the country until the extension of stay expires.
Both of the above require 90 day reports which in my case can be done online now. And, of course you need to renew your work permit each year as well at the labor office.

Can you believe how ridiculous this site is becoming that they delete three letters from the title? a Double U, a letter T and a letter F! This is what is going wrong with the world, no one can say what they think anymore, the thought police are out in force! Welcome to 1984!
So you killed a cat or some cats that were marking territory and come boasting about it on here.
Get a life. Your talk about this site becoming ridiculous? Once of the most ridiculous things I've seen here in a while is this thread. Anyway, you posted just to get a reaction. Here it is. Enjoy your fuzzy warm reaction result.

Anyone who touched my kids inappropriately, the least of their worries would be visa / work permit status.

I've banked with SCB for 11 years.
Never had a problem, I hold saving, fixed depost, a mortgage and an unsecured credit card with them.
Customer service has always been fine. My account numbers haven't changed in that time.
I also got the email regards ATM's on August the 8th. - A whooping 6 hours without service 11pm to 5am - hardly a big deal is it.
Dear Customers,
Please be advised that Siam Commercial Bank will temporarily close its ATM system nationwide for upgrading from 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 to 5.00 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2015. The upgraded system will support the growing number of transactions and enhance security.
During the upgrade period, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:
1. SCB ATM / Debit / Speedy / MCMC Prompt cards will be unusable in all SCB channels and all other bank ATM machines.
2. SCB Credit Cards will be unusable for cash advances at all SCB channels and all other bank ATM machines.
3. Fund transfer to and from other banks via SCB Easy Net and Easy App will be unavailable.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

5 years for replacement... Not according to this!
Well done, for a government website in any country thats pretty good. I'm impressed thats from this part of the world. There's a few Asian nations that could learn a thing or two from that.

Might help you a little. Almost certainly do more damage to the car that hits you.

If it is a glass screen, I'd be tempted to try a razor blade at a very shallow angle or some fairly aggressive chemical. However if the screen has any additional coatings on it I reckon you'll risk taking them off too.
Best would have been wiping with a damp cloth before dry since the paint is water soluble until dry.

Sorry to say, the only way to do it properly is strip it right back to bare wood.
Sand it thoroughly with 120grit then 220 then 400 grit paper. Then a minimum of two preferably three coats of a good floor varnish. I've seen impressive and long lasting results using Sadolin products.

Do we need an interview now to renew a passport? Surely not?

What about charter yachts? Having diner underway with a life jacket on? Get real. Silver service crew wearing life jackets too? This is about as knee jerk as banning alcohol on all the trains due to that one horrific incident.

Car dash camera in Thailand
in Thailand Motor Discussion

What is the resolution of your video?
Are the files AVI or MOV?
Does your have an HDMI port?
The instruction book is irrelevant. The hardware is what matters.
If yours has 1080P resolution on the output videos, an HDMI port and the file type is .MOV it probably isn't a fake. Even if it came with badly translate instructions.
If your video output is a 720 AVI file its fake.
Additionally, doesn't matter where you purchased from, this camera is manufactured in China. There are many re-sellers and many translations for the instruction manual.

Again, having a badly translated manual does not mean its fake. The real indicators I've spelled out above. More than once.
