A bit off point but i find that being only just available and popular to thais more recently than most other countries it is new and exciting rather than something that other people can live without. Social media has taken off in thailand with the availability and affordability of smartphones and unfortunately it tends to dominates their lives.

If it only expires today why not go to a land border and re enter with 15 day visa exempt? You could get a plant or a bus to a border. Nok air do flights online for 800baht or a bus could go for less than 500. Walk across the border and come straight back with a new stamp. It would possibly all in equal the cost that you will pay on departure anyway. But I've overstayed a couple of days and not even needed to pay a fine. Must have caught the guy in a good mood

If in doubt go to chaeng wattana near mor chit chatuchak. I went there did my stuff at immigration building B and took a motorcycle nearby to the thai building later and applied for passport. Maybe took 10 minutes at most mid afternoon and they sent the passport in mail, took about 1 week cost about 800 baht? Not sure exact cost I was not allowed inside as a foreigner. Your Thai gf will be easily able to find where and how to do. Mine was not even familiar with BKK city. Did this about 10 days ago

There's probably many depressed foreigners here I would think. Change your surroundings and routines and go see something new. Go travel upcountry and book a cheap hotel and hire a motorbike or a car and have a look around. Try some new food maybe go over the border into Lao or Cambodia. Go stay on a small island for a week, go do some exercise and go swimming daily. Come to think of it I might do the same, always works for me. Takes your mind off things. Enrol in a course take up thai cooking ,learn thai, learn essan learn to read and write thai. Get up off your ass and do something! Stop reading thai visa !

Was hoping to hear from anyone that has taken their thai friend/gf/spouse to Indonesia or bali island in particular. I looked at a couple of sites and seen that they can go visa free but are not on the list of visa on arrival. So ive determined they can go only for short stay on a visa exempt for 30 days and need a return ticket. Just to be sure, anyone done this recently?, landed at an indo airport and been given the visa exempt and on free they go or were there any problems. Is this something that you need to apply for in advance or just get the visa exempt on arrival?

There is no such thing as a Buddhist tattoo. There are only tattoos that exploit Buddhism as a theme just as you see women's fashion clothing shops in the west called ' Che ' or even n full ' Che Guevara ' With both of these naive people believe there is some kind of kudos to be had by associating themselves with the said imagery. Many Thais profess to believe they act as a talisman against accident and misfortune. Unfortunately there is absolutely zero truth in this as testified by the number of people killed on the roads who have these things.

I have many of these sak yant buhhdist tattoos. They are mostly for spiritual protection of different kinds. I have them for my own beliefs and reasons and other fasion tattoos in chinese or japanese style coi that were machine tattoos, all of the thai ones wers hand done by ajans. Brought an old thai flame over from udon with me to phuket for a holiday and some fun. Afterwards they got ready and we went out and partied in similar style to my first evening. I remember being pulled onstage at some gogo bar and getting a sexy show by a lady a bit too tall to be a thai lady. I slept in a massive bed with two beautiful women of their own occord. I didnt neec to barfine the first girl as she had already finished work. The other women is an old friend and has her own money. We continued this crazy love triangle for 5 days eating out together shopping sleeping swimming. Only thailand can be this crazy. Never taken a bigger one. But they're talking about minivans that have many seats. Aren't they licensed to carry as many people as there are seats? They get to charge an extra 50 baht and a garuanteed fare usually far from samut prakan so a decent fare and probally a tip if they provide a decent service and don't take you the long way round or on the expressway. Plenty of seats on the airport rail link tho- its far safer faster and cheaper plus no waiting in line. Didn't they all get a pay rise a while ago ?-and nothings changed in quality of service..

Pantip closed? I've been heading there every trip since I started coming to Thailand that's a shame. The only reason for me to head to that area really and I enjoyed the adrenaline rush from taking a motorcycle taxi from chit lom bts every time. I do like central pharam9 not so keen on fortune town. Soi 33 is a short trip from where I live. Tenderloins is the place to go good bruchetta and Thai French tenderloin or reef and beef on soi 33. Apparently a few places have closed down that soi, hopefully my favourite karaoke joint is still going and hopefully lips will re open. I'm in Phuket now sounds like a good trip but I prefer to fly.
