  1. How pathetic are you all??? You live in Thailand...I am happy here and appreciate the culture and people and lifestyle....you all spend your lives criticizing Thailand at every opportunity...forever...if it is that bad? Why don't you leave? Please tell me...why you want to live in a place you are so unhappy in? Inadequacy is the word that springs to mind...men that end up in Thailand...inadequate

  2. Gangthai is completely right.....you all moan about injustice and how bad Thailand is and you won't accept when a suspect confesses to a crime...what more do the Thai Police have to do?.....pathetic farang that want to live in Thailand and criticize Thailand forever.

Can you not accept the positives of Thailand?

Beautiful country, wonderful religion, wonderful King, best food, most illustrious history, friendly people, beautiful culture, amazing Thailand......why do you only bitch about Thailand?

Can you not see the corruption and badness in any other country?

I am truly blessed to live in the best country in the world and to respect Thai law and to abide by Thai law.....I don't understand the moaning and griping.....if you don't like Thai law....go back to your country...if you love Thailand stay and be respectful of the wonderful culture and kindness of the most amazing people in the world....you can be pathetic and criticize but Thailand is Number One and always will be

  3. <deleted>?! A 25 million baht plate on a 500k car? He could have bought a Ferrari or something! I don't understand rich people sometimes. blink.png

The importance of Thai Hi-So and that understanding that everybody has, that you are richer, more important and superior is a fundamental rock in Thai society...and obviously true and accurate...Thai Hi-So is the classiest and best of society and something to be desired until attainment.

  4. Supawan Tanomkieatipume, vice president for marketing at Thai Hotels Association, said tourists in more than 40 countries were still worried about their security and safety under martial law...

...and because there are still murder/rapists on the loose with a penchant for foreigners....and because the police are blatantly complicit....and because your resort owner/bar owner might well have less than your best interests at heart....and because it would appear that Thailand's tourism front-men close ranks when it comes to protecting their own over the tourist who pays the bills.

I love Thailand and love living here....I just don't live in one of the tourist areas....

Please tell me which country has no murders or rapes, a better police force or has to put up with unfair criticism from farang cynics.....if you love it? accept that good and bad exist. Thailand is more good than bad...and is a wonderful country and culture.

  5. Why are people complaining this perfectly sensible safety strategy which is already in place in Europe and the USA.

How dare farang come into our wonderfully safe paradise and complain about this.

If they buy the correct visa which costs a mere 1 milllion baht per week then they wil of course be exempt as they are QUALITY tourists.

Well said sir...in U.K. many people wear tags for their protection...how dare anyone be critical of Thailand for such a bold and innovative move...well done Land of Smiles.....perfectly dealt with as always...Thailand is 'Amazing' and the most popular tourist destination annually and deserve a higher quality of tourist to match the Thai experience on offer

  6. Personally I would like ex pats to proudly wear orange wrist bands, so as not to offend red or yellow supporters while tourists could wear turquoise wrist bands to indicate their lack of knowledge of Thai customs and general Thainess. I believe it would help protect ex pats from attack as we are generally not in a financial position that can survive such misdemeanors but are of great use to our beloved host country where as tourists are just here for a few weeks or days and are not as important as the ex pat community.

So many of these farangs come here and in a fit of pique throw themselves to their deaths in Chon Buri or elsewhere, having been dumped by a beautiful and classy young Thai lady, why does anyone care about them? I will be proud to show Thailand that I am an English teacher and wear my orange wrist band with great pride and honour.
