Yes indeed. Spot on. Many thanks for that heads up.
You’re welcome!
I’m guessing it’ll be Thai commentary, not bothered too much about that, at least we can watch what should be a good scrap!
Fury to win on points for me, I don’t think he’s got the power to knock out Wilder, but he’s by far the better boxer and will control the fight.

Anyone know if it is being shown on a True / local Thai channel?
If you have True, it’s on channel 36 PPTV...I’ve just scrolled through the TV guide to tomorrow morning and it says it starts at 9am.

I'm only guessing as the photo isn't good, but they look and sound like tobacco beetles.
Are they slow moving and fly short distances? Also when they're threatened they curl up into a ball and play dead..
These beetles infest a wide variety of products, including pet food, rice, flour, cereal, spices and pasta. They have also infested books, dried flowers, spices, leather, silk, old rodent bait and even museum specimens. In homes, spices and dry pet food are very common foods for cigarette beetles.
I had them in my house last year, they were a real pain in the backside as we couldn't find where they were coming from, I'd spend ages hovering them up each night before going to sleep, for some reason they never seemed to be about during daylight hours.
My wife eventually found where they were living and breeding, she had one of those microwaveable hot pads that was filled with rice in the bottom of her wardrobe, it had been there for ages unused, when she opened it up there was hundreds of these pesky critters inside having a party.
If you can't find them inside the food in your cupboards or pantry, then you'll have to have a good look around the rest of your home and find their nest, they won't go away by themselves, good luck!

Your cousin is presumably still the owner and should be spoken to with respect, for her to tolerate less is wrong. This control freak may be up to something devious.
Yup, my thoughts too!

Yes it's funny until you are the person getting the duff info!!!!!!!!!
then it becomes not so funny when you have invested much time
and money on the info you thought was good only to find it was
nonsense.
I "invested much time" gathering information that I needed to live here in Thailand, and it didn't cost me a penny, Google search is free, as are the websites you would use to find the information you need, so I'm really not sure how or where you would spend any money doing this?
Does using the correct terminology really matter so much when we all know what the poster really means, it's always the usual suspects on here that can't wait to point out "it's not a visa, it's not a visa!!!", who gives a ****!
Oh, and I'm just about to do my fifth marriage visa, yeah that's right, I called it a visa, even though it isn't, but you still know what I'm talking about.
Sorry if I've caused any chaos...

Why didn't you go yourself to obtain first hand info.?
What?
Who are you directing your question to?

Since August of 2013 they will only grant an extension to the date you passport expires. Then you have to apply for a new extension when the shortened extension ends.
You were given incorrect info by the first immigration officer.
Thanks for the information Joe.

In August I applied for my 3rd marriage yearly extension at immigration, as it was due up in September.
My old passport expires in June 2016, so, instead of getting the full 12 months, they only gave me 9 months, obviously because my passport would have run out before I would be able to complete 12 months.
Immigration told my wife that when I got my new passport, they would transfer the marriage extension into my new passport, and give me the full 12 months, which would take me up to September next year.
Today, my wife takes in my new passport to immigration to have the 12 months extension transferred into it..
A different immigration officer told her it wasn't possible to give me 12 months (which would have taken me to September 2016),, Apparently "they have stopped doing that" was the reason...
So... I've only got a 9 month extension in my new passport after being told I would get the full 12 months.
It was the boss of the immigration that told my wife they would give me the full 12 months, but she's away somewhere and they, apparently, don't know when she's back.
Has anyone else got any experience with this? Is this immigration officer right?

Erm... Not quite sure what else I could have posted if I'm honest?I've recently renewed my non O marriage extension at Sriracha with no problems, always found them very helpful there.
well you have not been helpful at all (no offence meant BTW)
Perhaps you could share some details about your own circumstances so we can line them up with the OP and see if it is relevant or not
They gave me another extension on my non O based on marriage, without me needing to be employed.
Not too hard to work out is it, seeing as that's what the thread is all about.
well actually Watson there could have been many relevant differences - age - retirement marriage children - based on income or funds in bank or both
an extension of stay can be based on many things
Not really Sherlock, it's the standard 400k in the bank and the correct forms filled in for a marriage extension. If I was on a retirement visa, I wouldn't have posted in this thread.

I would not be comfortable living with the in-laws. I like to do my own thing.
I did live with mother on one side and sister and her husband on the other side. Never really had problems with them entering the house unannounced. Each family is different.
Yeah, same here, my in-laws live next door, they rarely come into our house, and always knock and ask to come in before entering.

If they gave me a passport and every entitlement a Thai has with no strings attached, to protect my family in this country, then yeah, I'd do it.
so what your saying is, if they don't, then you don't intend to protect your family ?
being rather mercenary aren't you
No, that's not what I'm saying at all, given that you know nothing about me or my family, allow me to explain.
My wife and all of her family have British citizenship, every single family member, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and my mother in law who's been married to a farang for over 30 years.
My wife and I met in the UK, she'd been living there for over 20 years, she moved there when she was a kid with her parents, who moved back to Thailand about 8 years ago, we chose to move out here a couple of years ago, we live next door to each other.
Even though we still have business interests and property back there, we have no intention of ever moving back, that stuff is all in place as a 'plan B' should we ever need to bug out and return there for whatever reason.
So, what "I'm saying" is, if war were to break out, and Thailand gave me the option of staying and 'doing my bit' for King and country, and would reward me with a passport and all the trimmings, then I'd do it, that is of course assuming my wife and family were ok with that, maybe they would prefer to relocate back to the UK so we'd all be safe?

Well done weegee, I only wish there were more people like you in this world.
As for his wife, she sounds absolutely vile, I hope karma comes round and destroys her life just as she wanted to destroy his.

Wow, what an amazing story!
Hope he finds his feet and gets everything sorted.
Personally, I like the earlier suggestion somebody made about bulldozing the house down, I'd be very very bitter if this were to happen to me, vengeance I would be seeking.

I didn't know it was on, is it just a one day event?

Hi all, I've been living in Chonburi for a year and a half after moving away from the UK, love it out here!
Thought it was about time I actually signed up and joined the forum as I'm on here most days trying to find out information about various things over here.
Excellent site chaps, all my queries about LOS have been found here, keep up the good work!

Thanks Ausresident, I'll get her to sort it.

Thanks for the advice gents.

We used seven seas worldwide to ship our stuff over we had the large 'move cube', cost just over £1400 door to door.
No agents involved, no hassle, everything delivered perfectly, they also told us what ship,it was on so we could track it online.
It arrived nearly two weeks earlier than they'd estimated too, which was a bonus.

Thanks Paz, that's how I understood it to work, or was hoping that was the case anyway.
Ok, my next questions is, does anyone on here have any experience of either obtaining, or being refused a work permit on a non O marriage visa at the Chonburi labor office / work permit office?
