  1. There's a ban on US turkeys because bird flu was found in a turkey farm in the US.

Clearly this is not the case. The turkey in question is US Norbest with production date of 22.11.15.

There was a shortage of turkey reported before Thanksgiving, but as the following news article states, most of the turkeys were already frozen, so either a good excuse to jack up prices and/or they're just taking advantage. 20% possible increase, but import prices definitely thru the roof -- at Thanksgiving, I bought a small bird (approx 9 lbs.) and it cost 3000 Bht.

    BOSTON (WHDH) -

There is a turkey shortage ahead of Thanksgiving this year, thanks to an outbreak that affected millions of the birds.

Officials said 7 million turkeys died this year after an outbreak of avian, or bird, flu in April. According to the National Turkey Federation, people are not at risk for the flu because most of the turkeys were already frozen before.

Industry experts are predicting that turkey prices could increase as much as 20 percent this Thanksgiving.

  2. The reason President Obama, a self-proclaimed Constitutional Legal Scholar, can get away with dictating policy by executive order...is that he knows that if the Congress cries foul and takes him to court...he has the Justice Dept. and Supreme Court in his back pocket and does not fear his rulings being overturned...

Obama would love to play the victim and get political mileage out of a battle with Congress...Congress knows this also...and are just biding their time until America's first elected authoritarian leader leaves office.

    Good bye and good riddance...

SCOTUS is certainly not in Obama's back pocket and the Justice Dept. is an independent agency, but the hatred and propaganda Obama's alleged executive actions seem to instill in some is completely unwarranted. This is a listing of executive orders issued by recent past presidents affirmed not only by Snopes.com, but by numerous official sources if one takes the trouble to look.

    Name Number claimed: Actual number:

    Theodore Roosevelt 3 1,081

    Franklin Roosevelt 11 3,522

    Harry Truman 5 907

    Dwight Eisenhower 2 484

    John Kennedy 4 214

    Lyndon Johnson 4 325

    Richard Nixon 1 346

    Gerald Ford 3 169

    Jimmy Carter 3 320

    Ronald Reagan 5 381

    George H.W. Bush 3 166

    Bill Clinton 15 364

    George W. Bush 62 291

    Barack Obama 923 147

Of course, since Pres. Obama has not finished his second term, the above number represents only his first term. Now well into his second term, President Obama has issued a total of 223 executive orders overall.

  3. Biden is correct. Disgusting Don is a hater. He hates women. He hates foreigners. He hates blacks. He hates Mexicans. He hates most anything and everything. Just the scowl on that fantastically ugly face is proof of that. Hating is what he does best.

All this rage for someone whose core message is to secure the borders and expel anyone that entered and stays in the country illegally... My you do have an imagination if nothing else...

I am referring to his track history, not the silly comments he has made in the last few weeks. This man has a long and illustrious history of hatred, hostility, theft, bankrupting his companies, and walking away with hundreds of millions, etc. This thief is a charlatan. He is snookering a lot of people with his disgusting dialogue. He is a fraud.

Trump's business practices are well known and successful... How else do you think he got rich? Like any good business person, he isolates his risk to each property, with each asset isolated within it's own corporate structure... So, if one asset / property fails to produce or goes belly up, it does not take down the rest of his portfolio... If you call taking advantage of the current tax / corporate law structure evil, then you are not far from wrong, but you are blaming the player, not the game...

He got rich by inheriting an estimated $40 million to $200 million from his father, but he does know how to properly indemnify his assets while playing with other people's money. With 4 bankruptcies under his belt, he has had enough practice to perfect his methods. If he had, however, invested that inheritance in the S&P 500 and just let it ride, it would now be worth $8.3 billion.

  4. Messing' around with another man.

sounds like a Hendrix song. I do sympathize a bit.

It was noted in the previous incident in 2013 that the lady in question was the Chonburi official's "former" wife. I assume in 2014 this might still be the case, which means she was perfectly entitled to be "messing around" with another man. Even if you have lost face, shouldn't there be some point when you just have to get over it?

  5. If they are concerned about the correlation between sales of alcohol and drunk drivers, perhaps they could consider what they do in New York City on New Year's eve -- make public transportation available to everyone "free" of charge to discourage personal driving during festivities while providing alternative means of getting around town. Maybe not so good for taxi services and tuk tuk drivers unless they could be reimbursed, but better to provide positive reinforcement to do the right thing rather than punishing all businesses.
