Seri Wongmontha ..... i dislike this guy intently. He should be given a life sentence for his fashion sense alone.

My grandfather was a farmer for his entire life (passed at age 98) and he would simply plow the field after the harvest and let it turn to mulch basically prior to the next planting season. Is there no way the govt can purchase a few hundred tractors and travel from farm to farm performing the service for free so the tourist industry stays strong and it's people don't have to breathe that nasty air every year?
Would make more sense than buying military vehicles.

"Meanwhile, junta No 2 Prawit who chaired the confidential committee that pre-screened the Senate candidates before Prayut’s final selection, ignored all media inquiries about their controversial Senate picks.
He refused to explain why so many of the Senate nominees were military and police officers and snapped on the selection of a number of his close aides.
“What are you talking about?” the general said, apparently upset by the question. But when reporters started naming several officers, including his brother, Prawit dodged past the media throng, got in his car, and left Government House."
Says it all right here. The leader of the screening committee unable to answer for his decisions. 1.3 billion baht to ask "What's your kid brother's name again?"

We live in hope mate. genuinely hoping a judge, someone, is going to shove a whistle where it should've been shoved 5 years ago.

Yes member Weegee helped him iirc.
I wonder how he's doing now back home in the UK.
it was one of the few times when members on the forum came together for the good instead of bickering with each other. ????

I remember an incident played out on Thaivisa 3 or 4 years ago where a fella was getting poisoned by his wife but he got out with some help from people on here. I seem to remember something about black magic and his wife getting the house. Maybe some of the folks here who've been on Thaivisa for a longer time can remember more details.

imreally enjoying this thread. Due to my aversion to Thai tV and the rubbish my missis sits in fronmt of, books are a bit of a life line for me so Im picking some ideas from here.
Im suprised no ones mentioned the John Connolly "Charlie Parker" series. Good detective stories with a bit of supernatural thrown in as well.

Read every day but never novels . Truth is stranger than fiction.
Currently re reading for the third time ' Civil War ' by Shelby Foote. Excellent three volume set exceedingly well written.
Last week it was ' Soldier Sahibs ' by Charles Allen.
A history of British involvement on the North west frontier and Afghanistan and how just a small handful of men had an influence way beyond their numbers.
Most execrable books I've had to read because they were gifts would be ' The Beach ' and ' The Da Vinci Code '
im not any type of academic but love reading so can read any pop fiction but struggle with some of the classics.
Couldnt agree more about hte Da Vinci code but I have to admit to enjoying The Beach.
Kesey's One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest was my "unputdownable". Also enjoyed Giles Fodens The Last King of Scotland.

What would be the better scenario....a sexless marriage with mutual, genuine love and respect or a loveless marriage with lots of meaningless sex?
