  1. Would go to the daily mirror. But oops it's blocked.

    from the mirror report:

A UK backpacker backpacking through Thailand has been found dead on the same island where two Brits were murdered last year Christina Annesley, was identified online as the girl who died in as-yet unknown circumstances on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old, of Orpington, south London, was holidaying in the South East Asian country as part of a four-month tour of the region.

Her last tweets, sent on Monday, reveal she was on the island of Koh Tao - the same place where Brit tourists Hannah Witheridge and David Miller were murdered last September.

A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesperson said: "We can confirm the death of a British National in Thailand on 21 January 2014.

"We are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time."

  2. It should be clarified when Sean's wounds were first noticed.

Was it after the murders (15-21 Sep), or after he was pursued into 7-11 on the 22nd?

It has only occurred to me now that the wounds could have been inflicted as part of a frame-up, the day he escaped into 7-11.

An AC bar worker claiming he was covered in blood on the night (of the murders) is mmm - an AC bar employee...

    Sean Hayes McAnna says:

@csi la, I don't have a means of contacting you directly. I deleted Facebook and I'm not giving out my email address or phone number.

The cut was from my bike, so was the burn on my leg. I don't know why that's hard to understand. I've said it enough times. In any case, if it needs to be proven I can use video evidence from a bar I went to on the 10th and 11th. But they don't want the attention of plastic detectives or bad custom ruining their bar. Main thing is, it's provable. And the police took the blood from my guitar and my bag, which matched my DNA (I had everything on when I came off the bike, hence why they had blood on them). After the crash I went straight to the dive shop I was going to be working with and they seen it too (they had to sort my accommodation as part of the course)

Also, to the other username guy: I spoke to the Sunday mail. They haven't put anything up yet, but the full conversation was about what happened the night I got chased to the shop, and why the accusations are being thrown my way. I've also mentioned that no one believes it was the 2 Burmese guys and anyone would be stupid to even consider it.

But listen to me. You don't know me. You don't know how this has affected me. You are wrong about me. So think about what that means to tell someone that they've murdered their friend, or that they're holding something back which could help the family get past it or save two lives. I'm devastated mate. But no, I'm not scared for my life. I'm in Europe in a flat with a job and a girlfriend. If I had anything worth saying I would say it. Again, the papers misconstrued my comments disastrously. I've done nothing wrong and although I want people to keep pushing on this case to get it solved, I also want people to have a bit of consideration and ask themselves "what if I'm wrong?" before insulting me on a place where my mother and sisters can read your spiteful little comments.

    Thank you

Sean Hayes McAnna says at 0:01:

I don't know if Nom's son was on the island. Genuinely. But I've spoken to a journalist today to give all the information I have to them. Including the fact that Burmese guys were always expected to be blamed. It's not much. I think you expect I know more than I do, but it's everything I have. Also, information has came forward about the guy who "fell" to his death on Tao last year, so I expect the newspapers in the UK won't let this rest. I hope it's enough to save the 2 guys from Myanmar. I can't do any more.

Also, I'm not being quiet or ignoring anyone I just don't have internet very often.

  4. Andy Hall on Twitter: In final stages of appointing independent lawyers for accused Koh Tao murder case defendants rights worryingly/negatively impacted by media

I'm not a natively English speaking person... hence could you folks pls clarify, does above mean the accused Burmese guys will get lawyers that can be trusted?

there's some more interesting tweets from Hugo Swire, Minister of State UKFO and Andy Hall on twitter for those who wish to follow...
