Each country has different setup and its basically you like it or not.

I am type of person who like changing places and countries for no reason.

If country has  visible culture--past and present like Italy, Nepal and, maybe, Japan its one story. But neither Thailand or Philippines has any appeal to me

and they remind me US--looks good, you can make living, have some freedoms but culture is missing.

Yes, you should have clear understanding what you want.

Culture missing...in Thailand??? <deleted> are you talking about?

I'm no shill for the nomad guy but I do enjoy some of his videos. His business isn't about youtube per se but offering an array of custom services to international entrepreneurs mainly seeking escape from high taxation in first world countries. For example new residencies, new passports, real estate, banking, staffing from lower cost countries with skilled work forces. Not the most morally defensible niche but he walks the walk as he gave up his US citizenship. His particular brand involves suggesting people set up bases in multiple countries to avoid living in any long enough to be a tax resident. Thus the word nomad

His favorite country appears to be Malaysia but in recent years has become bullish on Colombia.

Both are excellent choices for expats. I speak from personal experience over the last 10 years.

Forgive what? Perhaps you should read “The Rape of Nanking” Iris Chang.

Forgive Us Our Sins for outrageous criminality on all sides. I've read it, and it doesn't paint a pretty picture of humankind. It's something like employing fuel-air explosions perfected by the "good-guys," in Afghanistan, thermite bombs and napalm, not to mention nuclear weapons in Japan itself...these actions cannot support any claim to a superior moral position. But perhaps you see that as it for tat. And so the cycle continues forever.

While I cannot disagree that other countries are handling this better but for years I have read and heard a lot about "They do not care, all they want is your money".  I guess I would ask " Why should they care?"  I do not mean that in a harsh way but what do you really expect them to do?  I would never expect a country to care about me and the folks that go on and on about how much money they spend here shouldn't really matter and clearly doesn't.  I work and live here and pay Thai taxes, own a home etc and I do not expect special privileges. Same as when I lived in the states. Why would I expect special privileges?  I think many foreigners have a much higher opinion of their worth here.

This is a mess and has brought out the worst in many people and governments.  I have a few friends in the states who had family members die due to C19 related complications and they could not attend their funeral. Does the country not care or are they holding fast to the C19 controls in place?

Again I feel for the folks and believe they should have a group reviewing requests submitted wanting to return back to family, friends and their homes. Clearly its not a priority.

Governments everywhere treat people like package donkeys, and nothing more. Pay your taxes and fees, and shut the <deleted>$k up. Some governments are marginally better than others, but in the end we are nothing more than serfs.

Machine Translators are not humans and will never be as intelligent as an expert.

I have seen many machine translators translating wrong sentences. Language is complex and need a human to correctly translate.

It might translate 30% correctly if you speak slowly but will never replace a human.

"Never" is a long time my friend. 10 years from now devices like this will translate with 90% accuracy, and cost $100.

Agree. It's like the people who run courses on share, option and contract for difference trading. If you are that good at it, why would you tell me how to do it?

Because it's a huge pool, and you can also make money teaching other people to swim.

true enough, i was there in the early 90s, stayed in a great bungalow on the beach, cool little beach side restaurants, quiet, clean beach and sea, was like paradise. i returned about five years ago, the place was unrecongisable; awful, over developed, ugly, polluted, i left sharpish. very sad but i guess some people like that sort of place.

It's called mass tourism...many once pristine locals around the world have been trashed in the same way.

Not sure why everyone seems to think the guy is some kind of muscle head. He has far too much fat on his belly. No abs to speak off.. no muscle definition. Certainly not a muscle head. I wonder how out of shape the average user of this forum is given they all seem to think this is a muscle head. Damm im far more muscular than that guy and a lot leaner too and I don't even consider myself a true muscle head.

    How about a "Meathead?"

Yes, i agree about when there's a group there's a sense of competition, something like a badge of honour the better they speak it.

This is true in most cultures...have you ever been around a group of French speaking English, for example? They all seem to defer to the most fluent individual, especially if chatting with an English native-speaker.

The only reason I'd ever want this fight to go ahead is to hear that "Old Ear-biter" got badly humiliated. I wouldn't support a fight of his by actually watching it.

Tyson should have been cast to the Cellar of Shame immediately after biting part of Holyfield's ear off -- then going for the other one after the IDIOT ref lets the bout continue!!! It should have been stopped, the police brought in and assault charges brought against the a**hole. Then Tyson should have been banned from having anything so with boxing (and maybe humanity) for the rest of his life.

People sometimes change as they go through life...heard of that?
