Point out that anyone who has had 2 Pfizer previously cannot get the ,3rd pfizer.and that's all that's avaible at plaza. These are the facts

As Professor Julius Sumner Miller often asked..."Why is it so?" Or is it a time thing?

  2. Hi all,

I know topics on politics and the Royal family are not allowed, and that is accepted. Question is where to find out information on certain subjects, in this case the King's Coronation, that is presumably on the internet somewhere. Bearing in mind I'm a native English speaker and reader, can anyone point me in the right direction? Hopefully, many thanks.

You should be able to do the report online.

No changes to the system. If you get the contact your local office it means you are not in the system for you entered something wrong.

Use this link to the site to bypass the terms and conditions page. https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do?cmd=acceptTerm

Just entered all data via Firefox, everything seemed ok, hit submit. Question is do you get a confirmation that the report has been successful?

This was my first attempt, so apologies if this has been asked before.

    Cheers Fossil.

  4. I notice many places do passport renewals, so that the holder doesn't have to go to the Embassy in Bangkok. Most seem to do only British. Is there any business in Pattaya that can do this for an Australian passport holder? Many thanks.

I just don't want to have to go to BKK unless I really have to.

  5. For proof of identity ONLY the Australian Embassy in BKK will suffice. Had the same problem when near Chiang Mai and the Australian Consular Official there was not allowed to certify documents - only BKK. Take your baht with you too as it's over 900 baht for the first rubber stamp for each document and nearly 300 baht for each subsequent rubber stamp. Cash only. Although second time I needed to go a laconic (Australian naturally) counter attendant was too lazy to do a receipt so I scored them for free! She'll be right mate!

Park at the Shell petrol station about 50 metres past the embassy.

Thanks for that, and I used to park at that service station all the time. Sometimes had to slip an attendant 20 baht to allow it, but always without drama. Now I just have to pick a day and get up early enough! Oh, the pain!

    Cheers all.

  6. No mate, it is a trip to BKK if it has to certified by an Oz official.

Most courts will accept a copy certified by public notary (many lawyers around town), it will cost about 500B, but save a trip to BKK.

Thanks for that, it was what I expected. It isn't for a court it's a Govt regulation for proof of identity. Anyhoo thanks again.

  7. Just wondering if there is an Australian Consular or diplomatic officer in Pattaya. I know there is a UK guy next to Immigration in Jomtien and also a Norwegian Consular office here somewhere. If not I guess I will just have to go to the Australian Embassy in Bangkok. The reason is I have to get my passport certified, and was hoping I could avoid going to Bangkok. Thanks one and all.

  8. I relocated to Pattaya from Melbourne about 3 years ago and used Allied Pickfords. They are international and my stuff was delivered by them (Thai personell of course). Costs were determined on your valuation of items and of course shipping charges. I had to go to Bangkok to pay the duty, which was minimal. I had heard it could be anything up to a 6 figure amount depending on how they were feeling at the time, but I was pleasantly surprised. Allied came to the house packed and crated everything, and when it was delivered here, they unpacked it all and took away all the rubbish. All in all a very non-stressing move as far as that goes. Hope that helps - if not - up to you! Cheers!

  9. But frankly, I'm just darn lazy. My biggest objection to the bank-account method is that it's so complicated and unsettled. Now it's 800K, now it's 1.6M if you're a couple; oops, now just kidding, 800K is enough ... now its 3 months in advance for first time, but you can/can't have withdrawals, now you need 3 months in advance for renewals, or maybe you don't ...

Subsequent renewals require the 800K 3 months prior to the renewal. Well in Pattaya anyway. If you keep that base amount, spending aside, you need to top up to the 800K 3 months before you apply the next renewal. Every year. It certainly is the easiest way to go. They like the retirement extension at Pattaya probably because it's less paperwork!!!

    Just my 800K worth.

  10. And the reason for non immigrant O visa issue would be? Melbourne is not considered an easy Consulate if that was your question.

Maybe not, but I have never had any problems with them, as I've had many from Melbourne. Mind you, never asked for a multi entry. If you are genuine then nobody should have any worries. "should" being the operative word! Just my few satang worth.

  11. Dear all,

I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 which has been of great service to me for the last 4 years. However the screen or graphics chip has come asunder as I can no longer see anything.

I know the hard drive is ok as I can log on to the shared folders via the desktop. What I need is a place in Pattaya that I can take it to for them to check out what the actual

problem is, and fix it. They need to be reputable, reliable, non-ripoff and hopefully at least understand English well enough for me to explain stuff. I'm asking a lot I know!

I refuse to deal with Dell for a multitude of reasons.

If someone can recommend a dealer/service place I would be most appreciative.

    Thanks in advance,

    Fossil.
