Whoops.... sorry guys I have just found a posting on exactly the same subject for earlier on this month. I guess it won't be worth my while after all.....

I am moving to Chiang Mai from the UK in January. I have just found out how much cars actually cost out there, so I am considering bringing my Mini (which is my pride and joy!!) over with me.

Has anyone any experience of doing this? If so what are the implications...

Thanks for the advice!!!! My daughter will be going to the Prem Center School which I guess from what you have said, she should have a range of after school activities. Would really appreciate the information from your neighbour though EarlofWindermere... thats very kind of you.

Our family are moving to Chiang Mai from the UK at the beginning of January 2006. Our daughter engages in loads of activities here in the UK which I know she will miss terribly when we move there. Does anyone know if there is a Girl Guide Association meetings in Chiang Mai that she could attend? If not are there any other activities available for a very active 8 year old??
