  1. Just in case you do not know how to count 90 days is 90 days 30 + 30 + 30 ..... not 92 days and no 3 month just 90 days ...2 days late open the doors for anything ...you been here for very long you should know that 90 days is 90 days not 92 days so now pay for the consequences .....and by the way This is Thailand just in case you forgot.

You seem to be not be aware you can do your 90 day report up to 15 day before the report date or 7 days after the report date that includes the report date. See: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days

Very aware about the Immigration Laws in this country but this is Thailand and to avoid problems and not having discussion with officers not aware of the laws in different immigration areas my suggestion is to maintain the schedule to 90 day max. that way will never be a problem.

But ??? up to you what you do anyway .....

  2. Just to be on the safe side when my extension is due on the same date or near that my 90 days reporting I do 90 days first then walk out go and have a coffee and return and do my extension. If my extension is before that my 90 days then I just do my extension and then continue as normal with my 90 days.

Is just a question of planing and allocating 1/2 day every 3 months and 1 day a year for extension .....not so hard is it ?????

  3. Well do not complain ..... just have a look what Indonesia is doing with the overstay visas

    6. Overstay penalty

If you overstay your visa then the official penalty is Rp 300,000 per day you have overstayed. The maximum allowed time you can overstay is 60 days.

If you have overstayed your visa for more than 60 then you are in the country without valid visa. The punishment for not having a valid visa is a maximum 5 years sentence or maximum Rp 500,000,000 penalty. (article #119 of UU 6/2011).

You get lock up he he he he or par 500Million he he he he

Be Happy you are in Thailand

  4. Well in Australia when you do any legal paper must singn all pages and write your name and must be in black ink.

Any pictures presented with any paper work must be clear and signed on the back.

In some cases your documentation must be endorsed by a justice of the peace or a person selected from specific list like your doctor or a police ...

So I am not surprise at all .......

I always ensure I have all my papers in order ....I ho to immigrations and ask and show what I have.

This way I never get a problem including my visas or any other legal stuff I have to do

For my 90 days report I go to immigrations to ensure is all ok

In summary I allocate 2 or 3 days a year to maintain all my paperwork in order and 1/2day every 3 months.

    I have nk problems

  6. No need to stay the night but you will have to buy a Laos visa !

I am uncertain about whether Huai Kon is an International border crossing point but someone with that knowledge will come along and advise.

Yes is International border crossing ... I live in Nan and I went to Immigration's and check all the Thai details and they advice me that is International crossing and I can do a visa run no problems. But check with Nan immigration's again just in case there was a change.

I will do a run tomorrow - I do not need a Thai visa because my south American passport so is easy for me only a Laos visa.

Just go across and back again ....Done.

Easier if you get your Thai visa before U go ... Nan will do for you easier

  7. This are the type of people that should never come to Thailand they should be on there own countries no respect they still think they can do what they want and insult us. Is not just a gesture is an insult and I will kick his back side very quickly no worries then maybe understand ..... but maybe not .... must be one of those left overs from there own countries .... PO mate go home not here.

We do not need people like that.

Just a guy that love and respect this country with all their faults .....

  8. Thanks mate appreciated ... yes maybe I am protected from the 6 entries that I do not know but I am ready to fly out if I can not get 90 days on the border.

I just fly out to Hong Kong for a week and back again and start from 0 again.

If nothing works then I apply for a visa on the near embassy.

Will see I let you know at the end of Nov what happens .....maybe they decide I am a persona no grata and bye bye out I go ...he he he I do not thing so .... but hey anything is possible here .... I love the adventure

    Thank's Mate

  9. Well ??? I have been entering Thailand without paying 1B for visas I juts get to BKK sing the health doco and present my passport in the immigration area and that is it no payment nothing I have been doing this since Dec so ????? not sure where is your info from .... I have the same info have a look at the top where it say 90 days .....or maybe I am such special person that they feel sorry for me and they do not charge me any money ?????.

  10. Hi all,

Just in case you guys/Ladies are not aware of this .... you can enter Thailand without a visa paper work and free (There are 52 countries allowed to use the free visa for 30, 60 and 90 days) if you are a citizen of a country with a bilateral agreement with Thailand ... have a look at this ..... http://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand/changes-visa-exempt.php

Note this this is applicable to Airports and border entries (Korea, Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Chile will get 90 days in both airport and land border). I have been in the country since December last year and I just do a simple run over the border and back and I get 90 days each time no questions ask and no problems at all. I will get my retirement visa next year but at the moment I am doing this way no worries at all simple and free I am from Chile ........

    Hope it help

  12. Are you perhaps referring to the fact that your tourist Visa must be used within 6 months.

When a Visa is issued it has a "use by date", for single or double entry visas that is 6 months, for tripe entry it's 9 months and for Multi-entry it's 12 months.

That simply refers to the date by which you must enter Thailand to use the visa, it's often confusing for tourists because it's unrelated to the date by which you must leave.
