  1. I noticed immigration is offering 60-day visa exemption that is extendable 30 days. I cannot find any information that would limit the number of times this can be done. Is it truly unlimited at all crossings (land and air)? It has been almost a month. What do we know?
  2. yes, "real" employment is a problem. especially for the rural people who go to the cities with a skill just for a seasonal job. i suggested they make deposits into the bank of their earnings so this can be used as a record of employment even if they are contracted. will this help? how about blacklisted (or blocklisted)? this will automatically eliminate them from a loan at a bank. has anyone worked through the process of removing a person from this list?
  3. I have a friend that has an unsecured loan on 1 million baht and pays 25k baht a month to service the loan. She will have to sell her land cheap in order to pay this loan off. I asked her why she did not just get a 20-year mortgage for her land. She didn't really know what that was. Is there a mortgage industry here in Thailand and if so, what banks or institutions provide funding for home mortgage loans? Thank you!
  4. And this is exactly what happened to me yesterday. She asked me how long i intended to stay in thailand this time and i told her that i was not sure. She then asked me for my return flight confirmation to the USA and i told her that i provided that information when i originally applied for my ME visa but did not know that it was required on a subsequent entry. She also asked me where i was staying and many other things that is required on the original application. I told her that was required and all is on file with my original application. Then i kindly reminded her that my evisa grants me the right to enter the country as many times as needed. I smiled at her and said that she needed to handle this however she wanted to and that i would take it up with the immigration office downtown phuket if were not given the 60 days that was expected. I was very kind and understanding... ... she gave me 60 days

  9. can you explain how this works?
  10. and you get there by bus from phuket?
  11. the last i heard it was 1800 baht, no offense taken...
  12. i see now that they don't run every day but they are still some running non-stop flights thanks...
  13. I did the bounce mentioned in my original posting
  14. It was granted on Aug 23, 2023 and must be used by Feb 18 2024 but there is no expiration date on the eVisa...
